I get to the company and get to work. After a few, I decide to go down to the lab and help out a bit. I need something that I know will distract me from everything. I get done with fixing a minor bump in the road and head back up to my office. I get there and Airell follows me. Trying to talk to me.
"Leyla, please. I'm sorry, she-"
I turn and look at him, "I don't want to hear that she was the one who forced it. You didn't seem to mind it that much."
"She is a friend that I haven't seen for a while. Please, I'm sorry."
I look at him, I can't just break it off because of that I mean Jason and I have done some things similar to it when Airell and I first started dating so... "this is your only chance. Take advantage of it, now if you'll excuse me I have things to do."
I go into my office and sit down at the desk. My head is throbbing and I am exhausted. I open a drawer and take out the bottle, taking two of the pills before looking at my computer to see what emails I have for the day. I hear a knock at the door and look up from the file after saying come in.
"Miss. Coldwell, someone dropped this at the desk for you."
I stare at the flowers and watch Alice bring them over. She sets them down and leaves. I look for a letter and find it, the only words on it are sorry. I assume they are from Airell and are a way to apologize. If so he didn't do bad, they are my favorite flowers, roses and lilies. Nice to know he listens to me most of the time.
By the end of the day, I have everything done and head home with the flowers. I get in and Tilly raises an eyebrow at me, Jason looking back, "aww someone got you flowers."
"Yup."
"Who?"
I look at Tilly, "Airell."
She comes over and looks at the card, "what is sorry about?"
"Got into a fight."
"How sweet..." I look at Jason to see a frown on his face, "he remembered."
"What?"
He looks at me with a small smile, "nothing. You look tired."
"It was a busy day."
We eat dinner before I go to bed. Not wanting to fall asleep on the couch. I don't want to have a nightmare with someone around. I fall asleep but am greeted with the same nightmare. I try to run away but get pulled back into the pit. I can hear it calling my name as it slowly drags me back to it and I jolt awake. Pinning the person who was shaking my shoulders where I was lying at just seconds ago.
It takes me a moment to realize who it is, Jason looks up at me, "Leyla, it's me... you are alright, I'm not going to hurt you."
I slowly pull back and when I realize what I did I get off of him and turn around walking away as I run my hand through my hair, "sorry... I-"
"Hey."
He grabs me and I look at him, "I... you shouldn't have done that... I-I could have hurt you-"
"Leyla looks at me." I look at him, "breathe... in... and out." I do as he says and he gives me a small smile, "better?"
For a moment, I see Zach staring back at me back at the stupid warehouse that only brought me pain. I look over at the time and frown, it is only four. I will admit, I slept more but still... I am exhausted. I get some of my clothes, not listening to what Jason is saying. I get in the shower, hoping it will help stop me from thinking. When I get out I look at my clothes and realize I grabbed two skirts instead of just one and a shirt. I'm pretty sure that he isn't out there, I think I hear him in the kitchen.
