Slowly Driving Hogwarts Insane...(rewriting once again)

Snake, Snake Friend

The snake in question didn't even seem to hear him, as it continued on with the music harry slowly walked as quietly as he could over to it, before hiding behind another statue, it would be much easier to risk talking to the snake if the basilisk couldn't see him.

"Hi?"

It seemed to startle the snake, the head was shaking around trying to find the resonance of where the sound came from as Harry had done the same before.

"Hello!"

Well it seemed friendly, Harry thought.

"Will you kill me if I come closer?" Harry bluntly stated.

"No silly I haven't had anybody to talk to in a little while"

Trusting what the snake had said Harry peeks out from the pillar he was standing behind. The basilisk had its second lids on making Harry sigh in relief, the no named snake said the truth.

"Well hi... what's your name?"

"This amazing name is......Snake"

".....Snake?"

The dumbfounded look on Harry's face made Snake burst out into hisses.

"Yes my name is snake, mother found it to be funny. What's your name tiny speaker"

"Well that gave me a shock, the names Harry," he then mockingly bowed.

"Quite a name!....Now what does Harry want from me?"

"Well I heard the beautiful tune you were singing and just wandered here I thought there was no more basilisk living?"

"I am one of the last of my kind, I was the only one who survived from my clutch,"

"Oh.. when did you hatch? Do you remember?"

"No, but it was months ago from what I can tell, i cannot tell how long exactly as the days and nights flow by without a train of thought,"

"Is there someone who told you how long it's been?" There's no way Snake could've remembered as it didn't know time.

"Why the man in the painting let me know he's able to see outside quite easily."

Now that gave Harry quite a shock. Who's the man in the painting? Could it be salazar or who could it be?

"Has he been here in the last day or so?"

"No! Now that you mention it,"

Yup Salazar.

"Would you want to see him again?"

"Why yes I would, do you know where he is?"

"Yes but you would have to trust me we can't have people seeing you,"

"Okay!"

After Snake closes their eyes Harry shrinks them down to a preferable size where they could easily be put in his pocket. Remembering the route he took, he was quickly able to reach the stairs. Heading out he waves goodbye to Myrtle hoping she wouldn't say anything like she did last time.

Their conversation had lasted longer then he thought by the sun he was able to tell it was time for dinner. Not really rushing Harry heads to the kitchens completely forgetting about Snape and Blaise, they would notice him not being there.

However Harry just wanted to get Snake a little present along with a couple of food items he could store in his room. After saying hello to the elves he was able to just grab some biscuits and candy as well as a whole buffet when he was finally able to leave the kitchen. Just carrying the food he goes to his room, not one person seemed to be out, which confused him more so than usual you would normally see at least one couple trying to have babies in the courtyard.

Not really caring he goes faster towards his room one of the only upsides of now living alone no more Ron and the ability of having snacks. By the time he gets to the room he is quite tired there was so many steps.

"SALAZAR!" he shouts.

"Yes, child why did you shout my name?"

"I found something you might want to see"

"Well....what is it?"

Pulling out the tiny snake, he grins while unshrinking Snake.

"My my is that Snake,"

"GUY IN THE PICTURE FRAME!"
