Chapter 17

Jason pov

I met up with Leo, Annabeth, Frank, Piper and Hazel to make sure we had everything for tonight.

'Okay so, Leo did you get the drinks?' I asked going through my list.

'Yep.' Leo said.

'Frank, Piper you got the sweet and cakes?'

'Yeah.' Frank answer.

'Yes Jason.' Piper said rolling her eyes.

'And Annabeth-'

Before I could say anything, Annabeth cut across me: 'Yes Jason I got the savourys such as crisps, sandwich and pretzel.'

'And I got some games.' Hazel pipered up before I could ask.

'Okay good.' I grinned. ' oh and before I forget I invited Penny to join us tonight.'

'Okay.' Frank said.

'Cool.' Leo said.

I couldn't help but notice that Annabeth, Piper and Hazel were looking at each other and smirking.

'I'm looking forward to night.' Piper grinned.

'Me too.' Hazel smiled happily.

'Me three. Now if you will excuse me, I have a lesson in half an hour.' Annabeth said before walking off.

'Okay I going to go and set tonight up.'

Switch point of view to Penny.

I have a couple of hours to myself. Which was nice except I can't go and relax in my cabin. I do have one more thing I need to do which was to call my mother.

But how can I do that? I looked around and my eyes fell on the big house. Maybe Chiron would let me use his office but he must be teaching archery at the minute, still his office would be the best place so I began to wonder up to the big house. Just as I reach the big house then then the centre in question in appeared.

'Per-I mean penny.' He said and I could tell he was not used to my new name yet. ' how are you doing?'

'I'm  fine and I'm happier than I've been in ages.' I replied. ' but I could use a favour.'

' what is the favour?' Chiron asked me.

' I want to IM my mum but I can't do it in Cabin three so I was hoping I could use your office.' I said offering my baby seals' eyes.

'Very  well you have an hour.' Chiron told me.

'Thank you!' I grinned and ran off to Chiron's office.

Once I was in in his office I made a rainbow chanted: ' fleecy I need a favour can you show me Sally Jackson and Paul Blofs please.'

It seemed to take a few minutes but finally the rainbow turned into an image of my mum's living room. And I saw my mum pacing around clearly worried.

'Mum?' I called concern clear in my voice.

'Per- wow.' Mum said as she looked at me.

' I hope that was a good well.'  I smiled.

' that was a great wow.' Mum said grinning. 'Right  Paul?'

'Yeah.'  Paul said looking as if you couldn't believe his eyes.

'So Percy, how is it being a girl m?' Mum asked.

'It's great.' I answered. 'I feel so at ease, confident, so me.'

' just you wait until you get your first period then you might change your mind.' Mum  said smirking.

' i'm sure I can handle that considering I've been in the Riverstix.'  I said.

'True but what from you describe of that little splash I suppose you could take any level of pain.' Paul said putting his 2p in.

'Anyway,' mum cut in. 'How long can you talk for?'

I looked at the clock in the corner and answered: 'about fourly-five minutes.'

'Okay so how's your father claimed you? What did you tell your friend?'

' well,' I I said before she could  bombard me with more questions. 'No dad hasn't cleaned to me yet but I did have a dream last night and we talked about it. And everyone thinks I'm a new camper.'

'So you're in the Hermes cabin at the moment then?' Paul asked.

'Yep but I'm sure dad will claim me soon.' I said.

'I wonder how Poseidon will claim you.' Paul wondered.

'I'm going to try to do something with the lake and that get dad's attention for him to claim me:' I answered.

For the next few minutes we discussed ways of using the lake and how dad was claim me. then we talk about random things for another half an hour or so.

' mum I can't tell you how much it means to me that you support me.' I smiled. 'I love you both. Thank you.'

' I see you're important to your mother so you're important to me. Plus I don't care what gender you choose to be.' Paul said.

' I see all I want for you is to have a happy life and it being a girl makes you happy then you have my support 100%.' Mum said smiling as I started to cry.

' Who both with dad are the best person any kid could want.' I sobbed happily.

'We love you percy.' Paul smiled.

'Or should we call you Persephone.' Mum teased.

At that moment Chiron walked in.

' I am sorry but I need my office back.' He said putting his bow and quiver down.

'Okay, thanks again Chiron.' I smiled as I dried my eyes.

'You better call us when you can.'  Mum said can she smiled at the centre. 'Hello Chiron, how are you?'

' I am quite well Miss Jackson thank you.'

'Ill  call you in a moment I'm claimed.' I said. 'Bye Mum bye Paul.'

'Talk to you later Penny.' They said as the three of us with our hands through the mist and the image vanished.

' thank you again Aaron for let me use your office, I will see you at dinner.'

'You are very welcome.' He replied.

I gave Chiron One more smile before I left his office, I still had about an hour until dinner so I decided to wander down to the lake.

Once I reached the lake, I sat down on the docs. A moment later I laid down and stuck my hand in the water I could see the water spirts  looking up at me and waiting so I waved back and before I knew it I was asleep.
