Chapter 12

Penny POV

I was satting with Jason eating my fruit salad thinking about what I had said to everyone who had heard.

My plan changed in my head as I realised that if I said I was Sally Jackson's daughter people might try and Iris Message her and get  more information. So I'll keep that story for a latter time.

'So what I is this place?' I asked Jason pretending to know nothing about the camp and the gods.

'Well what do you know about the Greek and Roman gods.' He asked clear uncomfortable.

'Well most gods from both part of history seem almost the same just slightly different and also different name.' I said looking thoughtful.

'Yes, well they are real and they still have demigods children so this camp and there is a Roman equivalent and half blood (which are  half god and half human) can come here to train.' I could Jason was struggling to explain it which I had to suppress my giggles.

'So the gods are real, they have kids and those kids come here to be trained?' I asked trying to sound like I was trying to get it all straight in my head.

'Yes this is the Greek relax version of training.' Jason said.

'Relaxed?' I asked looking around. 'Seem quite intense to me.'

'You're never seem Camp Jupiter. Believe me this is calm.' Jason said with a smile.

'So you're from Camp Jupiter?' I asked.

'Yes I would rather we didn't we didn't talk about it yet.' Jason said. I nodding. 'Come on I'll show you around.'  

Once we finished eating Jason showed me the rock climbing wall, the arena and the  cabins.

'Each Olympian and several minor gods has a cabin here and the number of the cabin and is based on the Olympian council.' Jason explained.

'I see.' I said looking around. 'Why do they looked so different?'

'They reflect the gods' personality and their realm.' Jason replied.

'So are you big golden and shiny over there is Apollo's?' I asked pointing at Apollo's cabin.

'Exactly.' Jason said looking happy that I caught on so fact.

After a couple more of Jason introducing me to each class and each cabin leader. It was time for dinner.

'Everyone we have a new camper Persephone Diana Jackson.' Chiron announced.

Everyone looking at me and I gave a shy smile and waved from where I sat with the Hermes table.

'Are you undermined?' Someone from the Athena table asked.

'Yes.'  I replied quietly. I never liked being the centre of attention.

'Well we have a game tonight. Capture the flag as you're new you will not be participating this time.' Chiron said. 'And everyone also is going get their equipment and weapons.'

 'Why can't I play sir?' I asked annoyed that I can't play too.

'Because you have not been trained and there is a good chance of you getting badly hurt now if you will excuse me Miss Jackson I must see that I'm ready for tonight.'

And with Chiron walked off leaving me at the Hermes table thinking: "Screw it! I'm playing whether Chiron wants me to or not."
