Chapter 2 - The baby is coming

4 months and 2 weeks later: 3 am Monday Morning

Aria's POV:

I haven't gotten that much sleep in the last couple of months because the baby has been kicking a lot. But I found out that it is a girl because I started booking doctor appointments since I moved here.

I rented out the apartment and I haven't been in contact with anyone apart from Spencer, Hanna and Emily which are now in grade 12 and it was my Birthday a couple months ago so I am having this baby at 17. Ezra does call me every now and then but I just can't deal with him after what he did.

I have bought the baby a lot of nappies, clothes and toys and I have the baby seat all set up in my car and I have bought her crib for her to sleep in.

I have finished high school by doing home school for a couple of months but now I have applied to do some online courses for college for an English degree because I want to be a writer. I was working at a coffee shop to earn a little extra money.

I lye here getting excited about being able to meet my baby in a couple of days.

I all of a sudden I feel something dripping down my leg. I look down to see that my water has broken.

I slowly get up until I have my first contraction which isn't too bad considering I have high pain tolerance. I continue to get up when it was over, I grabbed the hospital bag that I had packed a couple weeks ago.

I grab my handbag with my phone and wallet in it and make my way out the door. I slowly make my way to the car, I open the door and put my bags on the passenger seat and I sit down in the drivers seat. I know I shouldn't be driving but I really have no choice.

I then start driving to the hospital.

20 minutes later

I arrive at the hospital, it took longer because I had to pull over a couple times because of my contractions.

I get out of the car with my bags and walk into the hospital and up to the front desk.

"Hello, what can I do for you" The lady asks.

"Hi, I think I may be in labour" I say as I see her stand up and she gestures for a couple nurses to bring a wheelchair around to me.

"Ok, what is your name" The lady asks me.

"Anna White"

"Ok, the nurses will take you to a spare room while I ring up your doctor and he should be here soon" She says as the nurses wheels me off and into a empty room.

"Ok Anna, just put this hospital gown on and we will be back in and get you all set" One of the nurses said as she hands me the gown and they leave the room.

I slowly get up, I put my bag at the side of the bed. I took my clothes off and put the gown on. I sit on the bed and wait for the nurses to come back in again.

10 minutes later

The nurses finally came back in with the doctor following behind them.

"Hello Anna, so how far along are your contractions"

"About 10 mins apart I think"

"Ok, I will just see how much you have dilated" He says as he bends down and has a look and the nurse brought in a trolley full of supplies the doctor will need.

"Ok"

"You are only dilated 3cm, so just hand in there"
