Chapter twenty three: ♥wow!♥

Anne's POV.

'Wow!'.

'Wow!'.

That was all my best friends kept saying.

'Wow!'.

'Would you guys stop it already?. Fine, I know it's surprising but just say something other than 'wow''. I said rolling my eyes.

'But,......wow!'. Emily said widening her already wide eyes.

'Say that one more time and I swear I'll murder you right now'. I threatened.

'Wow!'. She said daringly while putting her hands on her waist'.

'OK, you want it. I give it to you'. I stood up from my bed and moved to my drawer, extracting a table knife from it I mimicked a 'possessed by a demon' look and stalked towards Emily.

'I am going to kill you'. I said inserting as much hatred I could for my annoying best friend and started towards her.

'Anne? Anne? what's wrong with you?' Essa asked panicking.

'I'm going to kill you'. I said again.

Emily who looked smug earlier had began to believe and was slowly backing away from me.

'Anne? I was just joking. You know that right?'. Emily asked with a panicked expression.

'I'm going to kill you'. I said taking the last step towards Emily. She looked pale even with her tanned skin.

'I'm going to--'. I couldn't complete it and bursted out laughing.

They both looked confused before catching up that I pranked them.

'So all these was nothing? Huh?'.

Emily asked and I nodded.

'Then you're so dead'. She said before I could digest it, she carried me with a strength I didn't know she had and threw me on the bed.

'I'm gonna killlll youuuu'. She said through grittsd teeth while hitting me with pillow.

I shoved her off me and got on top of her doing the same thing.

It went on and on like that till Essa had had enough and comes to separate us.

'Guys guys it's enough'.

'No I'll kill her'. We both said.

'Why don't you let us talk about more interesting stuff than say 'I'm gonna kill her blah blah'.

When she saw that none of us had backed down she used another approach.

An approach that erased blood from my face but left some in my cheeks.

She said; 'why don't we talk about Aiden and our Anne?'.

'No. There's nothing to talk about us'. I said stubbornly.

'Oh, I think there's a lot to say'. Emily said winking at Essa'.

'I wonder why Anne's cheeks are red all of a sudden'. Essa said pretending to be innocent.

She's the quiet one among us but she can be the most bitchy some times.

'I really hate you guys'. I said through frustrated breaths.

'And we love you too'. They said in unison like i said I loved them.

'There's nothing to talk about, why don't we talk about Essa's.'.

'There's-- nothing a-about me'. She stuttered.

'I'm sure there's not'. I winked.

This prickled Emily's interest.

'What are you talking about? Does she--ah'.

'She likes someone?'. She asked.

'Yep. And guess who it is'.

'Don't play that game with me,you know how I'm bad at it and between, Essa falling in love is a rare occurrence'.

'Anne. Don't'. Essa warned.

'She likes Greth'.

'Greth? As in the nerd? As in Daniel's best friend?'.

'The very one'.

'Wow!'.

'Please do not say that word again'.

'Fine'.

'But how come?'.

'How come what?'.

'How come-- I didn't know'.

'Cause you are blind'. I rolled my eyes.

'It was very obvious the way the look and behave at each other. I choose to ignore it but I can't now'.

'How come I didn't notice then?'.

'Prolly because you thought she doesn't have the heart to love'.

'Yeah, I thought that'.

'Urggh guys, I'm sitting right here'.

'You mother fucker'. Emily screeched.

'Why didn't you tell me!?'.

'Firstly, I don't fuck my mother, and secondly, I just knew myself and trust me I would have told you myself if Anne hadn't decided to tell you without my permission'. She said the last part gritting her teeth.

'Yay! Awwwn!. My two friends are in love. I'm the only one left'. She said pouting.

We both patted her.

'You know, we aren't taken yet so maybe we'll still end up being single'.

'I pray so'.

'Yeah'. Essa and I said distracted.
