Anne's POV.

Today is my graduation from high school, it has been exactly three months since Evans died and not much as happened since I mean if you'd ignore the way people kept coming together, as in you know dating each other.

It was like Evans's death made all of them realise the feelings they had for each other.

Lee left the school right after the incident, rumors have it that she moved to another country. Daniel and Ivy made their relationship official after ivy was a little over her brother's death,
Emily and Greth (Daniel's best friend) got together and even Emily and Michael (James's best friend and former partner in crime) got together, even though it took a while to convince Emily that she actually had feelings for him. James continued his usual thing, being a Playboy and is currently dating Samantha, a nerd even though every one knows he's just using her for her brains.

And then finally, Auden and I. Our relationship had grown into a healthy one and everyone who saw us together said we were cute together.

I couldn't wait to see him after our graduation when we'll finally go to college together. Yes, we planned to go to the same college.

I couldn't help smiling at myself in the mirror, a cute blush crawling up my cheeks and I imagined ourselves in the nearest future attending classes together and retiring to the same apartment we'll rent.

Not knowing that that would never happen.

We got to the ceremony late and that was because Anna chose to be her normal self and wasted time in front of her mirror trying to look good for her sister's graduation ceremony but fortunately for us, they were just at the alphabet 'E' of people's name when we got there.

It took a while before they called my name but they did anyways and I went to collect my certificate, I catch Aiden's eyes and smiled at him expecting him to return it but instead he looked away. My smile wavered but was soon back when my two best friends jumped at me. Essa's name was called next and she almost ran to the podium, I watched as she ran towards Greth after collecting her certificate and they kissed passionately.

Anger bubbled inside me and I planned to ask Aiden why he had done that.

I shouldn't have but it wastoo late.

The ceremony finished in a blur and I matched towards Aiden. His back was turned to me, talking to a group of friends when I grabbed his arm and pulled him to a secluded space.

'Why?'.

'Why what?'. He asked feigning ignorance.

'Why the hell did you not smile back at me when I smiled at you'.

'Cause I didn't want to'. He said with a duh expression which later morphed into irritation.

'Look, Anne you can't dictate what I should do and what I shouldn't. I didn't feel like smiling back and I didn't it's not your decision to make'. He snapped.

'But-but-'.

'But what? Can't you form a simple sentence now?'.

'You saw what Greth did with Essa, it shows that they love each other. You don't act like you love me anymore'. I said almost crying.

'Maybe I don't'. That ordinary sentence broke my heart more than I thought my heart was capable of.

'You don't?'.

'Yes I don't'.

I took in a deep breath and tried to steady my voice.

'Wh-what of about plans we had together?'.

He snorted.

'Baby, you only made plans for yourself. My plan is to use the cash I earned from working for your parents to travel to Paris where I'll start up a business I have in mind. I have no plans for college babe, I can't afford it'.

'You should have told me I'd have--'.

'Shut up Anne, I don't need your money. I don't need money from the daughter of proud egoistic parents who only think about money.
There no life for us together Anne, so face it and stop behaving like a damn bitch'. He spat and walked off.

Leaving me.....

Broken.

Shattered.
