Chapter twenty: ♥best friends again♥

Anne's POV.

Anna must have contacted my Emily and Essa that she has forgiven because immediately I stepped into my first class, they jumped at me.

'Oh Anne, I've missed you so much my baby'. That was Emily.

Essa actually cried. 'I'm so sorry, it wasn't easy not talking to you. I'm sorry it wasn't my idea it was Emily's'.

'Traitor'. Emily hissed.

I laughed. 'It's fine really, you guys did it so I'd learn my lessons and I did. Thanks guys'.

'You're welcome'. They both said and headed off to their various classes.

I sighed.

'Today is gonna be a great day'.

And it was.

I smiled all through the class and guess why?

Aiden also had the class and i caught him staring at me twice before he looked away.

That's something isn't it?

I decided to talk to him after class.

And this was how it went:

'Hey'.

He looked at me and looked away.

'Hi'. He said curtly.

'Can we talk?'.

'Aren't we doing that already?'.

'Oh'. I said embarrassed.

'I'm sorry, I just wanted to thank you for-- what you did yesterday'. I said and turned away.

He doesn't like me. I admitted with an heavy heart.

I really should stop behaving like a bitch.

That that was aiden asking me to be his girlfriend.

Anyways, you're wrong. That was Daniel asking ivy out in the cafeteria in front of the whole school.

Well, not the whole school but be sure that the news would be around the whole school before closing hours.

And guess what?

She said yes.

I'm so happy for them, well my heart was screaming 'no' faintly but my brain screamed yes and I cheered the loudest.

And that ivy is so nice she actually came and asked me if I was okay with it.

And I also learnt something, Evan likes Lee.

Urgghhh.....

What's wrong with these boys? Must they always go for the harder option.

How did I know?

Well, when ivy was busy asking me whether I was okay with the whole asking out thingy Lee sashayed past us and ivy said something like crush so I asked her what is was and she told me about Evan's crush on her.

Amazing how everything turned out and well, everyone forgot about me.

Which is good and bad.

Good because I can walk about without feeling annoying stares at my back and bad because.....

Maybe....

Just maybe I'm used to the attention always showered on me.

I was walking towards my last class when I met aiden, I moved to go past him when he stopped me.

'Wait'.

I stopped and turned, making sure to pull a blank expression.

'What do you want?'.

'I--err-- I want to apologize for what I did'.

'What was that?' I asked feigning innocence.

He gave me a pointed look. 'I shouldn't have behaved that way. I was in a sour mood'.

I nodded.

'So...am I forgiven?'.

'Yes'.

'Thanks'.

'It's fine'.

'Yeah'. Then awkward silence.

'I should go'.

'Yeah, you should bye'.

Then he turned and left.

'So he said that?'.

'Yup'.

She sighed.

'What do you think?'.

'I don't know. I don't want to jump into conclusions'.

'Yeah, me too'.

'Maybe he still links you as a friend, we don't know yet until he asks you out'.

'Uh uh'.

There was companionable Aiken's for a while then. 'Are you OK?'.

'Yes why not?'.

'You know, the whole Daniel thing'.

'I know you're not over him yet so I don't know if you're feeling sad about it you can talk to me'.

'OK?'.

'Yeah'.

'And congratulations on getting your friends back. I hope they you won't do anything to upset them again'..

'I won't'.

'Good girl, now goodnight'.

She said and patted my head.
