Luke's *POV*

Quinn's been in and out of the hospital for almost a year, and her fifth birthday is here. There's one catch.

Nonna and Great Nonna are flying out! Nonno decided to stay and take care of Lala, which is completely understood.

"Getting ready?" I walked in to see Quinn with clothes everywhere.

"What do I wear for the party?"

"Umm, wear...." I looked around. "I just realized, we've bought you a lot of clothes."

"Yeah."

"Go with your cool Dirty Pig shirt." I tossed her the colorful shirt, "and this white skirt with black leggings."

"Style expert." She smiled and shoved me out so she can change.

"Ready?" I walked up to her door and knocked.

"Daddy? Can you have Mariam come in here and help me with my hair? Pleeease." I smiled and jogged downstairs.

"Hey Mariam, Quinn needs you to do her hair, I dont know how she wants it." She smiled and accepted.

Within a few moments, Mariam came down. "She's wondering if I could curl her beautiful hair?"

"Umm, I guess. What's wrong with her straight hair?"

"She just wants to try it out and I've curled a 5 year olds hair before."

"Yeah, go ahead."

"Ok, she'll appreciate it."

After another ten minutes, the birthday girl came down with Mariam.

"Happy birthday kid!" Ronnie smiled and gave her a hug.

"Thank you." Then she turned around.

"MAZ!" She ran to Maz and gave him a hug.

"Hello love. Happy birthday."

"Thank you." She gave him a kiss on the cheek and hugged him.

"Can we have the cake now? Because I'm a real girl." Quinn smiled as we all chatted.

"Ok, birthday girl wants cake, because she's a real girl."

"Let's sing happy birthday!" Beau jumped up. "But first.."

"NONNA!! GREAT NONNA!!" She ran to both of them and gave them a big hug. "You came just in time, we're about to get cake because I'm a real girl."

"Well, it's your day."

"Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Quinn, happy birthday to youuuu." I held her up so she could blow the candles out and make a wish."

"I made a wish."

"You can tell daddy, he promises to make it come true." I whispered in her ear.

"I wished for a mommy." She whispered back and got down.

"What's wrong, you're really pale." Beau.

"Quinn just told me what she wished for."

"And?"

"A mommy."
