Big Boys Don't Cry

Luke's *POV*

"S-she has what?" James walked in, and sat next to me.

"I'm sorry."

"Thank you Doctor." My voice cracked, once I hung up, I wanted to scream, cry, and tell her she just had a bug. But no..my daughter has cancer.

"Big boys don't cry daddy." Quinn looked up at me, smiling.

"You ok mate?"

"Tell me one thing. How would you feel if someone just told you, your daughter has cancer."

"Oh my god. Are you joking?"

"Quinn has cancer and I can't do anything to help her."

"She has to go to Children's Hospital."

"The doctor has a room for her..I'm just not ready to say goodbye."

"She's going to be fine." James was sure on this, I carried Quinn to her bed, and laid her down.

"Uhh..guys?" I scratched the back of my neck.

"Yeah." Daniel, Jai, and Beau look up at me.

"Quinn has c-c-cancer."

"How the hell can she cancer at this age? How'd she get it though?" Daniel was just blabbing on and on, "she was supposed to be my little gangster!"

"Gangster? Lil Wayne gangster?"

"Maybe.."

"James and I knew something was going to happen. But never this big. We both thought she'd has to get medicine, a doctors appointment.."

"Why are we so worried about that little thing?" Jai asked.

"Because she's my fucking daughter and I love her! I'd do anything for her!"

"Not like that. I mean, she'll pull through it."

"What about the tour? She'll be stuck her while we're traveling to many places."

"Couldn't she get doctors appointments around the globe and still get better?"

"It's a possibility. But what if she takes a turn for the worse and we're on a plane?"

"She wouldn't do that.."

"I'm paranoid ok?" Then the monitor went off.

"A baby monitor?"

"In case I'm down here and she needs something important." We listened closely.

"I fine daddy....." She sighed and shuffled in her sheets. "Pony."

"Now that we know she's fine, lets just calm down and see if we can travel with her."

Within an hour and a half, we got the news that we CAN travel with her. Which makes me happy.

Quinn was sitting with us, then Daniel made his cockatoo face. The house was full of her giggles.

"You silly Uncle Ip!" She smiled.

"Not as funny as Uncle Beau's face." Skip playfully nudged Beau.

"Uncle Beau is pweety." I helped her walk over to him, and she cupped his face in her hands, then she pecked his lips. "I love you."

"I love you too."
