Beau's *POV*

"Luke, we need to talk." I arrived home from the hospital without Quinn, who fell asleep with her treatments.

"What?" He looked up from what he was doing as I walked upstairs. "What's this about?" He sat down at my desk and I stood there For a second.

"I hate telling you this. I honestly do. For an uncle to tell a little girl's father something...it's heartbreaking."

"What's wrong?"

"Look, the school called me, because you didn't answer your phone, but now the school knows that Quinn has cancer. Ok. Why didn't you tell them in the first place?!"

"They shouldn't know everything about a child!"

"But I had to take her back up to the hospital for her treatment!"

"So you're making me look irresponsible!"

"You're daughter has one fucking year left to live! That's what this illness has done to her. It's made her into its own piece of art. The art of a little girl dying, and no one wants that for a child. But Quinn has one year left. Make the best of it." I went downstairs and sat by Daniel at the island.

"That was pretty loud up there." He mumbled.

"Quinn has one year to live everybody." I nodded pissed off at Luke.

"Are you done yet? Telling everyone about her?" Luke walked in and leaned against the counter.

"Well obviously you're so irresponsible that I needed to tell everyone about it."

"I've worked my ass off for her. I get a smile, hug, and kiss in return! I make her breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I think I'm responsible!"

"Yeah. Well then stop making it look like I called you out on being irresponsible."

"Fine." He mumbled and went to play video games with Jai.

"Explosive." Daniel looked at me.

"Yeah, you could say that."

After awhile, we all decided to spend a few nights in the hospital, knowing Quinn would whine.

This was our plan for a long while.
