Luke's *POV*

Everything is calm, too calm.

"Hey Luke. Ready to go the hospital?" James walked in with a smile on his face and an Olaf teddy bear.

"As I'll ever be." I slid my phone into my pocket and walked downstairs with my bowl of cereal.

"Hold on, Beau wanted to tell us something." Jai stopped us on the stairs.

"Dear Janoskians, I'm a fan of you who is in the hospital with Luke's adopted daughter, Quinn. She talks about you guys nonstop and I don't get sick of it. She'll complain how she wants Luke to hold her, she'll laugh about Daniel kicking Beau in the nuts, or dicky wicky as Jai told her to call it. Her smile will grow once she thinks of James smiling and when she tells about the time her and Jai were superheroes. I'm sorry this is an all of a sudden note, but I just thought you should know. By the time you read this, I will be under surgery for a heart transplant to save my sister's life. I'll be dead, but I kept Quinn company while you five were gone. Love a dearest fan. Melody." Beau read the last sentence very quietly.

"That's...a real hero." Jai smiled. "She kept our hyperactive kid company and saved her sister's life."

"Let's go visit Quinn, she'll tell us more about Melody." Daniel smiled small and I out my bowl in the sink.

"Let's head out." I tossed Beau his keys and we drove to the hospital.

"Hi Qu-" James stopped. "That's not Quinn. She's too little and pale."

"Quinn Brooks. Right here." Jai pointed at her clipboard.

"Is this Quinn Brooks' room?" I asked the front desk with James.

"Yes, are you her father?"

"And uncle." James added.

"Right, well Quinn hasn't been responding well. So they just now put her into a coma to numb the pain."

"Why didn't they tell us?"

"Like I said, they just now out her into the coma."

"Why into a coma though?"

"Her cancer is doing horrible things to her body. She's so little, so doctors agreed to out her into a coma for a little while and then let her wake up."

"She only has a year left!"

"A little less than a year..they shortened her time to about 10 and a half months."

"Oh god, are you serious?" That felt like a stab.

"I'm so sorry."

"What are her chances of survival?"

"Do you know how small the percentage is for a small child to survive a widespread cancer?"

"Low."

"Exactly, just go sit with your sweet little girls."

"That's what I was going to do." I mumbled and walked away with James.

"Dude...she's so skinny.." Daniel stepped out. Jai held her hand and Beau kept kissing her head.

"She's brittle." Jai and Beau shifted out and James sat on her left, I stood on her right.

"I got you this Olaf..." James smiled and tucked it under her arm.

"I love you." I kissed her cheek and let my tear fall.

"There's nothing we can do, is there?"

"I don't think so.." James and I looked down. I pulled my phone out and took a picture.

"Mums coming." I told Beau and Jai.

"From Aussie?"

"Yeah..Quinn is like her own granddaughter. She loves her so much."

"We all do, let's just go get some rest. It's 8 in the morning." Beau patted my back and we headed home for a nice long nap each.
