Captain Latimer hadn't wanted to leave her side at first, ecstatic at his discovery and only riling up his large crew. It took threats from Astrid and Ragnarok collapsing into Hiccup's arms for him to back off, with the promise that he would be able to speak to her the next day when she had times to mull things over. Latimer and his crew were staying for a week after all, just to rest and make some trades before making the long sail back home.
