Feyi
"Maybe we should just go to circle mall." I sigh.
"If I slap you through this phone ehn, that circle mall that is small and stuffy, me I'm not going there o." Nmesoma hisses.
"Calm down naw." Bridget's melodious laughter echoes through the phone, "But I actually get Nmeso's point, that circle mall is just not it, besides, it's in Lekki, me I cant be going to Lekki from Surulere, let's just go to Novare."
I groan internally, because we want to go out, see stress, we've been on this video call for almost an hour.
Had meaning there was school, it would have been better, but noo, it's today the school chose to renovate something so they said we shouldn't come to school today which is Thursday and tomorrow. So till Monday.
"Are you listening to yourself?." I ask Bridget, "First of all, you said you don't want to go to circle mall because it's far from Surulere, Is it now Novare mall that is in Ajah that is near?, Second, why are you even stressing?, shebi Lanre always picks you up."
"I swear, it's like I'll get a boyfriend soon o, because all the benefits that comes with it ehn." Nmeso says.
"Mumu." I burst into laughter.
"You girls have issues sha, shebi we all agreed to go to Palms, you people are naw saying another thing." Timi rolls his eyes.
"Timi is right, oya we are going to Palms...Lanre, are you sleeping?." Bridget asks.
I withhold a laughter, he has been sleeping since, he hasn't even said anything.
"Nooo." He groans "I've been listening."
Yimu.
"Where's Dieko?." Timi asks.
"She's coming...Nmeso, shebi you're still picking us up?." I ask again, me I don't want to hear story o, she'll naw come and say something happened.
"Yes naw."
"Oya come fast." I look up at my wall-clock, the time reads 11am "Once it's 1pm, my mum won't allow me to leave this house."
"Ahan, I'll be there before 1 naw."
I hear the front door open, that must be Dieko.
"I think Dieko has come, we'll see you guys later" I press the red button ending the call.

Dieko
I open the front door and step in shutting it behind me, Aunty Modupe is sitting on the sofa pressing her phone, she's wearing a long brown Ankara gown, her natural hair is neatly plaited in the 'shuku' style."Ekaaro ma (Good morning ma)." I kneel down smiling.
"Ahan, dide, omo dada, bawo ni? (Stand up, good child, how are you?)."
"I'm fine ma." I stand up.
"How is everybody?, hope mama is fine."
"Everybody is fine, grandma is okay."
I really liked Aunty Modupe, she was so nice to me even though we weren't even related by blood, it's her husband that is my mum's elder brother.
"You're going out with Feyi, shey?."
I nod.
"Both of you must come back before 6pm o, not the one that you'll come back by 8 and start begging me, I'll flog both of you."
I giggle "I know ma, we'll be back early."
"Good, I know you are a good girl, it's that your cousin, please talk some sense into her or I will have to do it myself and you know me I won't use my mouth."
