Oikawa came back home not long after Suga left, so like thank God for that. But, because he knew you oh so well, Oikawa would not get off your back.

"[Y/N], seriously, what's wrong?" he put down the plate of Chinese food you guys ordered for dinner and looked at you from across the kitchen island you two were sitting at.

"I'm fine, Tooru." you sighed, still picking at your food.

"i'M fInE, tOoRu." he mocked.

"You're a child." you snapped, then instantly felt guilty. But, if Oikawa was hurt, he didn't show it.

"I ordered your usual from your favorite restaurant and you've barely touched it. Can you please talk to me?" Oikawa's chocolate brown eyes met your [e/c] ones.

"I can't." you said quietly. What happened with Suga earlier really bothered you, but the last person you wanted to talk to about it was Oikawa. You would have to tell him everything before you could even touch on what happened today, and you honestly thought you'd rather be shot in the foot then tell Oikawa all of that.

You heard him let out a sigh, and then he was quiet for the rest of the meal. You probably left the same amount of food on the plate that Oikawa gave you.

When he was done, he picked up both yours and his plates, cleaned them off, and washed them in the sink. You watched him the entire time, and yet again, your heart squeezed. Keeping this from the boy who was pretty much your best friend hurt, but you would rather keep all of it to yourself than put it on him.

When Oikawa was done with the dishes, he turned around and leaned against the sink. He had a serious look on his face and you knew you were gonna fold.

"I can't look at you when you have that look in your eyes, [Y/N]. It kills me to see you like that." he said simply, apparently not caring about how he sounded.

"It's nothing, Tooru, really. I'm fine." you tried to sound convincing but failed miserably.

Oikawa dropped his head and rubbed both his temples with his pointer fingers.

"I'm not an idiot, okay? I know it's something you don't want to talk about with me, but I'm not gonna pretend everything is okay." he picked his head back up and met your eyes again. He was serious, and serious Tooru kinda scared the crap out of you.

You bit your lip, trying to figure out where to start, or if you wanted to make up a complete lie. You decided to go with the latter.

"I just ran into Suga the other day, is all." (i mean, it wasn't a complete lie, right?).

Oikawa seemed to tense up.

"Did he say something to you?"

"Nothing bad." you shook your head.

"So, you ran into Suga and he didn't say anything bad, but you're this upset?" he had a confused look on his face.

"Well, you know how I've been since he's been around, Tooru. It still just bothers me." which was also true.

"That's it? What you - we - did a year and a half ago still bothers you?"

"Um, yes? We just had this conversation." you were starting to get annoyed.

"Yeah, we had this conversation before we had sex like twice and you were naked in bed with Kuroo. But, please, go on." Oikawa snapped back.

You were a little surprised, to be honest. Oikawa never talked to you like this and he was kinda being insensitive. You tried to stay calm but just like your lie, it failed miserably.

"Screw you, Tooru." you got up from your seat at the island and rushed to your room, slamming the door on your way in.

Your cheeks felt hot and wet; you didn't even realize you were crying. Why were you crying? Was it because of what happened with Suga? Your fight with Tooru?

It was both. You've never felt farther from Tooru, and Suga was upset with you. It was too much in such a short amount of time. Literally the same day.

Well, you decided you were done with said day. You crawled over to your closet, put on your favorite pj's, and crawled into bed. Cuddling the cat plushie Suga had given you felt wrong tonight.

A wave of anger washed over you and you threw the toy against the door. It landed on the floor with a soft thud.

Tooru wasn't home when you left for class the next morning. It bothered you not knowing where he was, and you were close to texting him before Elle (yeah i forgot about her too) nudged your arm.

"This part is really important, [Y/N]. What are you doing?" she whispered to you.

"Nothing." you sighed, deciding she was right. Tooru was a big boy; he was probably playing volleyball to blow off some steam. You were gonna go check out the gym when class was over.

And class was over before you knew it. Granted, you didn't pay too much attention, but you take spectacular notes and figured you'd be fine.

"Hey, do you wanna go study somewhere? You seem like you've been... struggling." Elle flinched by your side as if she had cursed your first born child. You two walked out of class together and were halfway to the gym where Tooru usually plays.

"Sure, we can go to my place. Can we just stop by the gym? I have to talk to Tooru and I think he's there."

"Oh, sure." Elle sounded confused, but you didn't wanna entertain this any further. As far as she knew, you two were just roommates.

You finally made it to the gym to see that you were right: Tooru was there, but he wasn't practicing volleyball. He was actually talking to a couple girls. Which was fine, until you watched Tooru lean down and kiss one of them.

Your chest grew tight and you made a small noise. You grabbed Elle by the arm and dragged her away before one of two things happened: you were gonna cause a scene and rip Tooru's soft, chocolate brown hair right out of his head, or just have a break down in the middle of the gym.

"[Y/N]? Hey, are you okay? What happened? Isn't that Tooru's girlfriend?" that made you stop in your tracks and face your friend.

"Girlfriend? What do you mean girlfriend?" you asked, a little too aggressive.

"Well, I've just seen them together around campus a lot... and I've heard her talk about stuff that they do together." Elle said quietly. She was afraid to upset you, but you knew she was just trying to be your friend.

This was all so confusing. When did Tooru have to time to get a girlfriend? He's been following you like a puppy for the past few days.

"I'm sorry, Elle." you stopped and let go of your friend's arm.

"I didn't mean to do that to you. Things between me and Tooru are... complicated." you said.

"What's complicated about being roommates?" Elle asked.

"Here's some advice: don't move in with the boy you cheated on your boyfriend with."
