I take my staff and place it on my back before heading outside to contact my best friend, Aoi.
(On the phone) [ Aoi ] "Hello?"
(On the phone) [ Y/n ] "Did you hack the system and figure out where the Hunter Exam at?"
(On the phone) [ Aoi ] "Oh yeah, the exam site is at Zaban city!"
(On the phone) [ Y/n ] "And where at in Zaban City?"
(On the phone) [ Aoi ] "The venue is a small restaurant, but you have to provide a password in order to access the exam site."
(On the phone) [ Y/n ] "The password?"
(On the phone) [ Aoi ] "When they inquire what you are having after you ask if the backroom is available, respond, "The streak combo, please, the one that'll make me see the light."
(On the phone) [ Y/n ] "I might be able to manipulate them, but it's too early to use my abilities."
(On the phone) [ Aoi ] "Let me finish by saying that when they ask how you want it cooked, you should simply reply, "Grilled slowly over a low flame till done."
(On the phone) [ Y/n ] "That's it?"
(On the phone) [ Aoi ] "Yes, good luck with the Exam!"
(On the phone) [ Y/n ] "Thank you, Aoi, talk to you later!"
After hanging up, I teleported to Zaban City.
I noticed a number of people staring at me and muttered, "Isn't that Y/n?" "What's she doing here, anyway?""She is very attractive but also dangerous." I merely grinned a little.
[ Y/n ] "Hey, do you all know where I can find a restaurant at?"
[ ??? ] "Just keep going and you'll come to a tiny eatery next to a large structure!"
[ Y/n ] "Thank you"
I arrived at the restaurant next to the tall structure and entered at last. I slowly scan my surroundings to make sure I'm okay.
[ Y/n ] "Uhmm..is the backroom available?"
[ Cooker ] "Who's asking?"
[ Y/n ] "Me, of course"
The cook raises his head and his pupils become wider.
[ Cooker ] "Oh uh...Miss Y/n. What are you having?"
[ Y/n ] "The streak combo, the one that'll make me see the lights"
The cooker gulped, and I smirked at him.
[ Cooker ] "How do you want it to cook?"
[ Y/n ] "Why do you feel so anxious? Just like the other customers, I'd like to be grilled slowly over a flame until done."
[ Cooker ] "Okay, right this way..."
I grinned as he guided me into this compact space.
[ Cooker ] "Wait here"
He closed the door
[ Y/n ] "What should I do, I wonder? I can arrange my cards, I guess."
For a few minutes, I began stacking the cards before the little room started to move.
[ Y/n ] "So, this is an elevator. I shall wait then"
I kept piling the cards on top of each other.
[ Y/n ] "Yes, I finished!"
I freely clapped until the elevator stopped, which caused the cards to collapse.
[ Y/n ] "Damn it!"
My cards vanished, and the door open.
[ Y/n ] "It looks like no one made it yet; I guess I came a bit too early."
[ Bean ] "Hello, please take your number badge. Thank you!"
I sighed and grabbed my badge.
[ Bean ] "Be sure to wear this on your chest at all times, please!"
He walked away
[ Y/n thoughts ] "I guess I have to wait for the other applicants."
