The start of January had rain lashing against the windows almost every day. Students came back to Hogwarts for the first time after Christmas break, they were currently departing the train, greeting everyone.

"Aria!"

The Weasley turned while stepping out of the prefect wagon with Cedric.

"Tayla?" Aria said searching through the crowd.

"There you are!" She said, pulling Tayla to a hug.

"I got your owl, we need to talk about it..."

"I know, but not know, later."

"Of course, now we have to go"

"Why?"

"Because Cedric is waiting for you!" She said with a smirk.

"Oh, shut up!" Aria said, pulling her towards the Hufflepuff.

"Hello, Tayla."

"Hi, Cedric."

The three of them waited for the Wood twins, together they headed down to the carriages. Ethan and Tayla sat opposite of each other, constantly smiling at one another. Cedric sat on one side of Aria, their legs brushing at one another, Bella sat next to Ethan and Tayla on the other side of the Gryffindor prefect. They talked about their Christmas break, the Triwizard Tournament and the Yule Ball.

After the carriage ride, prefects helped younger students to their rooms, Aria wanted to check the restroom before going to her Common Room.

She stepped into the Prefects' bathroom on the fifth floor. A shrieking wail was ripping through the walls, she turned the corner only to see Cedric sat there with his egg.

"Sorry." He shut the sides, the screams dying instantly, "just having a think."

He was sitting on the bathtub, with his bare feet skimming in the water. He had his bathing suit on and his hair was messy.

Aria sat down next to him with her legs crossed, "If anyone can figure out what this egg means, it's you!"

He grimaced throwing the egg into the water, spinning as it disappeared below the scented liquid, "Thanks for the faith, Aria, but I'm all out of ideas."

He put his head in his hands, rubbing his eyes with the base of his palm. Aria put her hand on his shoulder comfortingly. A faint chiming was coming from near them, small bubbles floating to the surface.

"What the hell is that?" Cedric asked, pulling him and Aria to their feet.

She smiled at him, "I think it's coming from the egg!"

They looked at each other in excitement, as Cedric dived straight into the water.

He surfaced, smiling triumphantly, "Ari, you better see this."

With a confused expression, she pulled her boots and red cloak off, leaving her in her jumper and her trousers, before slowly slipping over the side. She swam over to him, his expression one of glee as he held the now open egg underwater.

Both taking one last deep breath, the pair dipped their heads under the water.

"Come seek us where our voices sound, we cannot sing above the ground. An hour long you'll have to look - to recover what we took."

The voice was oddly eerie and calming at the same time, coming from the opalescent interior of the egg. Under the water, they looked at each other, their hair fanning out from their heads and wearing smiles.

"I thought you said you were all out of ideas?" Aria smirked.

He swept a hand through his drenched hair, "Maybe it's just because my lucky charm
showed up."

It was a gloomy Thursday, the day before the second task. Aria was finishing a drawing in the Library, until Professor Moody interrupted her.

"Miss Weasley, could you please come with me."

Confused, but obedient nonetheless, the two of them made their way down into the classroom, before hiking up to McGonagall's office.

"Ah, Miss Weasley," she had mused when she arrived, "take a seat."

It was a few minutes of silence, seeming to stretch for an eternity when the door opened again and Madame Maxine led in a small Beauxbatons girl. It took Aria a few seconds before she recognized it is Gabrielle Delacour.

Expect a miracle minutes unbroken put two girls who sat terrified in their seats until Ron and Hermione were chivvied in, Professor Moody, Professor Dumbledore and Igor Karkaroff joining Madame Maxime in standing behind McGonagall.

The Gryffindor Head of House smiled, "Now that the four of you are here, we may begin."
