since their last encounter, namjoon has been saying small things just to see the barista blush. seokjin thought it was weird since, to his knowledge, the man had a girlfriend and he did not want to be a home-wrecker. but at times he couldn't help himself. the man was just dead gorgeous and when he'd compliment him he couldn't help but get sucked in.

today was no different, it's been 2 weeks, and within those 2 weeks the pair has made a few steps in their relationship yet none at all. seokjin still didn't know of the man's job status as a feared mafia leader. he never watched the news due to it always reporting on the bad things and never good. he didn't know the man standing before him with a mysterious look in his eye was a cold blooded mafia leader.

seokjin thought he was falling for the man, especially with the looks he gave him. he didn't want to fall but yet here he was, tumbling down the steps of a new found romance. namjoon, on the other hand, didn't feel anything at all. he was really just trying to get a rise out of the beautiful man in front of him.

at least that's what he thought, he didn't know how much it would rile him up just to see the man hug another person. he was furious when he walked into the cafe that morning expecting to see the purple haired man blush. instead he was met with the man behind the counter getting back hugged by someone with brunette hair.

they looked like a couple laughing and talking right before namjoon walked in. when the bell rung their laughter died down but they didn't let go of each other. namjoon walked up to the counter with a straight face, the man he didn't know of let go of him and walked back into the kitchen. that's what bought them here.

seokjin with a deep blush as the tattooed man looked him up and down with a mysterious look in his eyes. seokjin could see some anger just radiating off of him but he didn't know why. namjoon didn't either. he didn't know why he got so mad seeing the man hugged up with someone. maybe because he wanted to be the one hugged up with him but sometimes this mafia leader can be a bit slow and not realize flirting with someone can make you have feeling dumbass.

"g-good afternoon, your usual?" seokjin questioned, biting the inside of his cheek. namjoon shook his head and looked at the menu. his eyes scanned it before looking back at the barista.

"when's your lunch break?" namjoon said suddenly, catching seokjin and himself off guard. seokjin mouth went agape and he looked over at the clock that flashed 12:25. that was convenient.

"in 5 minutes, why?" seokjin asked, still confused on why he asked the question. namjoon smiled before pulling out 20 dollar bill instead of a 10. "order yourself something and get me an oreo cheesecake." he said smirking at the older, sending a small shiver down his spine.

seokjin nodded, tugging his bottom lip in between his teeth. he typed in the order and sent the ticket in the back. he gave namjoon his change and seokjin watched with confused eyes as the tattooed man sat at his usual table near the window. seokjin went to the back with jaehwan to pick up his and namjoons food.

"you look flushed and confused. what's wrong with you?" jaehwan asked placing the oreo cheesecake on to its plate neatly. seokjin didn't answer he just watched the taller prepare the two plates. jaehwan snapped making seokjin jump slightly before looking at the far haired male.

"i'm sorry, i'm just confused, namjoon, the one with tattoos that i keep telling you about, just paid for my lunch." he said just above a whisper. he was still trying to understand why. was he just being nice? did he actually like jin? was he just trying to get one simple thing out of seokjin? he couldn't piece anything together. nothing made sense in the moment.

"that's odd, i mean, with the way he's been flirting with you these past two weeks maybe he does like you." jaehwan says while fixing the sandwich seokjin ordered.

"i mean, that could be true but i think he has a girlfriend, you remember that conversation i overheard. no one calls just anyone babygirl." seokjin reasons with the brunette. he just shrugs and hands him both plates.

he walks back out with both plates in his hand, he sits namjoon's down in front of him and began to walk away with his in hand but was softly grabbed by his arm. seokjin turns around looking down at the male who had his hand softly wrapped his free wrist.

"y-yes?" seokjin chokes out, looking at the large hand that was wrapped completely around his wrist. like before, there was a small tingle felt by both men that went ignored. seokjin was trying to calm his breathing and heart rate while namjoon was wondering what was wrong with him.

he'd never asked anyone to go out with him let alone be nervous about it. even jimin, his last boyfriend, could tell you that namjoon doesn't ask. hell jimin had to ask namjoon out. but why was today different? why did he want to ask the barista out so badly? why was he so nervous about it?

the strong and confident facade namjoon put on was seemingly melting just by looking at the purple haired male. he felt himself feeling nervous and was thinking about just saying 'never-mind' and letting the barista go on his lunch break. but he was already to far in. he already had the barista in his hand waiting for him to speak up.

namjoon mentally prepared himself before throwing on a cool act to hide his true feelings. "sit with me." he says motioning towards the empty chair in front of him. seokjin took notice of his change in voice. the way he said the words were not as cold as it used to be. he actually seemed like he cared.

seokjin lowered himself in the seat in the seat in front of namjoon. he kept his gaze low and on his food, if he looked at the man before him he knew he would melt in a puddle. his insides were doing flips, he could feel namjoon's gaze on him, he could feel namjoon's eyes trail over his face, specifically his lips.

namjoon couldn't keep his eyes off the man. this was the closest he's been to the man and he was flawless. even while eating. the way his cheeks puffed up as he ate made him look gorgeous and squishy. he so badly wanted to drop the cold persona and just squish the man's cheek but he couldn't. he held up this persona in front of everyone except his sister and he didn't want to lose his rep. just yet.

they ate in a comfortable silence which was odd considering that they've never actually talked for more then 5 minutes. but both boys felt oddly comfortable with one another. they felt safe around each other. despite the shyness and nervousness that namjoon was good at hiding and seokjin not so much. he would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy this time with the tattooed man.

seokjin's lunch was nearing its end and he was picking up his plate to leave and wash up. namjoon was putting off his question far too long, it was now or never. if he didn't ask now he wouldn't ever ask. so he did it, as calm as he can.

"hey, let me take you out next week on thursday." namjoon says to seokjin. seokjin looks up wide eyed, he still had his food in his mouth and he was trying his best not choke on his food (not saying he wouldn't like it though.) he swallowed before speaking up...
