it's been a few days since the night with hoseok. he had left earlier that morning knowing that seokjin had a date that night. it was probably the most stressful thing for him when he walked into that house that morning to find yoongi sitting on the couch in the most depressed state.
he hated it, all of that was his fault but now he knows what hoseok feels every time he's gone. when the door closed yoongi jumped and looked back. his eyes widened as he jumped from the couch, he ran into hoseok's arms, tears escaping his eyes. he mumbled about how much he missed him and how broken he felt without him. this all just made hoseok feel worse for what he was about to say.
"yoongs, can we talk, like for real this time." hoseok says, his voice wavered a bit, but he knew what he had to do. besides, it wasn't like they were completely leaving each other, it was just going to be a break. a small break so they can find themselves. a small break that would determine if they were going to stay together.
"uh, sure yeah." yoongi said, feeling small under hoseok's stare. his heartbeat quickened, they haven't had many serious talks. now he could tell, hoseok wasn't happy, he was scared he would end up losing the love his life today, all because of a lie he told in the beginning of their relationship.
they sat on the couch with an uncomfortable silence engulfing them. hoseok was scared to say his next few words. he didn't know what was going to happen. he did not want to say this, but he knew he had to.
"i think we should take a break." hoseok said quickly, as if he was pulling a thorn out of his finger. yoongi sat next to him with his jaw dropped. it finally happened. the one thing he didn't want to happen ever in his life is happening. he feared this moment more than death itself. his happiness. his love. the one meant for him was leaving him.
"a b-break, what do you mean. hobi, are you breaking up with me. please i'll do better please don't leave me. i-i don't know what i'll do without you p-please." yoongi cried. he was on his knees in front of the boy, begging for forgiveness and for him to stay. he felt so vulnerable and weak now. he hated feeling this way.
"y-yoongs, please. stop crying. i'm not leaving you completely. it's just, i need time to figure things out for myself. don't think of it as me breaking up with you. think of it as a long distance relationship. i'm still with you, i'm still for you and you only, i'm just not here with you."
by now hoseok was crying as well. he wanted to just take everything he just said away. yoongi hiccuped, his heart was hurting too much. he didn't want to do this, he really didn't but if it were to make hoseok happier.
"c-can i at least ask why?" he said looking down at his trembling hands. his vision was blurred from the constant tears that wouldn't stop. his breathing was ragged and his head was spinning. he has never felt like this before.
"i-it's the constant leaving yoongi. the way you would disappear at random times and come back like nothing happened. you know how worried i get when you're gone. the thoughts of you cheating plague my mind. the never letting me see who texts you before you leave. for five years yoongi, i let it slide but it's stressful. this is the last thing i wanted to do but maybe if i left, you would finally be able to realize. i love you with everything in me yoongi. but i need to find myself."
"i-i understand, um, if you want, i can leave the house. you c-can stay." yoongi says, he was still trying to calm himself down but was finding it harder. none of this would be happening if i hadn't lied in the first place. he feels so guilty. this is his fault, and now it's happened. his love is leaving.
"y-you don't have to leave yoongs, i can, seokjin offered me a place to stay." hoseok says while reaching over and softly grabbing yoongi's trembling hand. though hoseok was feeling the same way, he wanted to stay strong, he knew if he'd break down he would cancel it and forgive yoongi like usually would.
"no no, i have a place. i-i'll leave. b-but can i just have one thing before i do go." yoongi says, finally looking at the younger. his face was red and his cheeks were wet with tears. it wasn't often that hoseok would see yoongi cry so looking at him right now was painful.
"what is it?" hoseok replied under his breath. he felt yoongi's hand tighten around his. his heart was pounding against his chest as he looked at the older.
"can i have one more kiss before i leave?" yoongi asked softly. hoseok nodded softly while looking at the older. yoongi slowly leaned in with hoseok doing the same.
their lips connected, yoongi pulled hoseok closer to him wanting to feel his last bit of warmth before he had to go. the kiss was passionate and filled with love, neither one of them wanted to pull away but they couldn't stay like that for ever. yoongi had then pulled away after a minute, a new set of tears streaming down his cheeks...
