Her mind raced. Hey couldn't he see her? Why would he want to? Does luke really hate her? She had so many questions.
"Do you hate me?" She whispered.
Luke sat shaking. He had no idea what to say. A single tear made a trail down his face.
"I don't hate you. I didn't know how to feel about you, so I bullied you. I'm so sorry. I was so self-centered. I hate myself for what I did. Please just listen and hear me out." He confessed.
He cupped her face with his hands, slowly moving his thumb up and down her cheek. Her mouth hung open. She jumped to her feet and ran out of the room. She didn't know where she was going and she didn't care. Luke's voice called for her, but she ignored it. Suddenly, she ran into something hard. She backed away and looked up. Michael. Lydia stood motionless.
"Hey." He whispered.
She just looked at him. He had a black eye. He frowned and pulled her into his toned chest.
"Why don't you ever talk to me. I like you." He mumbled, the last part barely audible. He leaned down to kiss her, but footsteps made him pause.
Luke came rushing in. Lydia remained motionless. He stopped in his tracks when he saw them. His face turned a fiery red. Michael turned pale.
"Get. Away. From. Her." Luke said through gritted teeth.
She was finally able to move and sprinted out the front door.
