Shawn's POV

Being with Camila, I've never been happier. We spent as much time as we could with one another. Somedays, when I'd return home from a long day at work, she'd already be there waiting for me and we cuddled up and watched documentaries until she'd fall asleep on my lap. Then, I'd take her to bed and let her settle herself comfortably in my arms, the both of us falling asleep with smiles on our faces.

Other days, she'd come see me in between her classes, handing me a lunch with a small note to have a good day. Most days though, I'd bring her dinner whilst she worked and spent some time in the back and waited for her so that we could both leave together.

Tonight was no different. I was sitting in the back of the library, watching Camila as she organized some older books. She was so beautiful and I've never felt luckier to have someone like her. I chuckled when I'd catch a glimpse of her swearing under her breath when she messed something up or when she felt as if she could've done better doing something.

As much as I wanted to stay and watch her like I could do all day without getting bored, I had other plans and I knew she'd be slightly disappointed but it was necessary.

I stood up from my seat, catching Camila's attention, "where are you going?"

During the two months that Camila and I have been dating, it was clear to the both of us that we never wanted to be away from each other more than we already were due to my hefty work schedule and her schooling with her work on top of that.

I smiled softly, standing still, watching as she inched closer to me before stepping on her tippy toes to kiss my lips.

"I have some errands to run, babe...I'll see you back at my place?" I asked. Usually, I'd bring her home but recently, she has been pushing herself to drive around New York more and more to get the hang of the traffic.

She sighed, "alright, baby...I'll see you later." I pecked her lips one last time before saying goodbye to Angela who sat at the front.

With the help of Dev, we set the perfect mood for a mini prom for Camila. She mentioned a couple of days ago that although she did go to prom despite the lack of formal wear, she never got to slow dance.

We hung fairy lights as I displayed some punch and a few alcoholic beverages for the both of us, with some snacks.

I flicked on the galaxy light projector that Dev gifted me. I made sure that I had the corsage in the box so that I'd be able to place it on her.

Although, we weren't dressed in suits and prom dresses, it was something for the both of us to remember. It was something I could do for her. I knew that this could never top the prom she had with Damon, which I didn't want it to, I wanted to at least share a dance with her and I knew that she would enjoy my effort.

"You're a good ass boyfriend, Mendes," Dev patted my back before running out the door so that Camila wouldn't catch her here and grow suspicious.

A few minutes passed and I finally heard the key in the door jiggle. My body tensed as I prepared for the moment where I'd catch her reaction.

She groaned while stepping in, not yet acknowledging the work in front of her, "you will not believe the night I've had-"

Her eyes grew wide and a smile appeared on her angelic face, "what-...what is this?" She stepped closer to me, embracing me in her gentle arms, yet still holding me close.

I placed the corsage that had small sunflowers and roses on it onto her wrist, "A mini prom...I know this doesn't equate to your other prom but you mentioned a few days ago that you never got to do a slow dance...so,"
