Olive's pov
Numb. Doesn't even begin to describe how I'm feeling. Sure it's one of the many things I'm feeling, but not completely.
Lonely, angry, confused, and empty. Just to name a few.
My steps felt heavy as I walked towards her hospital room with River keeping me upright. When we got to her room I froze outside the door, to weak to turn the knob. Still praying that this is all some kind of sick twisted joke. I opened the door expecting to see my dead mother but instead I see an empty bed. A doctor came in with a funny look on his face "May I help you?" He asks us. "Where's my mom, Elizabeth Quinn?" "Miss? She was moved to another hospital. I thought you knew." What? They told me she died.
Dad. You sick sick monster.
Come on pick up! Finally after calling fifteen times. "Dad what the hell, where's mom?!" "I don't know what you're talking about sweetie." He says way to casually. "CUT THE SHIT. Where is Olive's mom you fucker." River exclaims, "Here in Boston." My cowardly dad gives up the information easily at the frightening boom of Rivers voice.

Boston
River rushes into the hospital and heads straight for the elevator. Once they get to the correct floor River immediately spots Olive's dad in the waiting room, taking big strides he makes his way to Mr. Quinn and... BAM!
River punches Mr. Quinn in the face knocking him to the ground. "River!" Olive exclaimed in pure shock, "Thank you." He just nods and walks past the now unconscious Mr. Quinn and towards room number 712, Olive follows suit. "River are you going in too?" "No." River felt she should go in alone so she did.
"Mom?" She said in a weak voice, and there she was lying on a hospital bed looking very fragile like if you touched her, she would shatter. Mrs. Quinn slowly raised her hand beckoning Olive to come closer. She looked like she was trying to say something to Olive but couldn't. "Why are you here instead of in Ann Arbor?" Mrs. Quinn stroked her daughters hair, "Because sweetie," she paused, "Your dad wanted y- you to think I was dead so h- he could use that as leverage to get you to c- crawl back to him." "So you're not gonna die?" Olive questioned hopefully. "No, my love. I can't fight off this cancer anymore." "But it's a miracle you've survived this long! You're not weak momma, you can fight this!" Mrs. Quinn wiped tears away from Olive's already tear stained face, "Exactly, I've fought for so long that I am now too weak. I'm going to go soon, but I love you Livy." " I love you too momma. I don't want you to go!" She hugged her mom tight, "I'll never really leave you dear." She assured her as she hugged Olive back.
Olive woke up an hour later to the sound of the heart monitor beating quickly. She couldn't move. She couldn't believe it. "She's flatlining!" Several nurses and a few doctors yelled as they stormed into the room and began trying to restart her heart. "Clear!" nothing. "Clear!" nothing. "Try one more time" One doctor said out of breath. "Clear!" nothing.
"NOO! MOMMA, NOO YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME PLEASE!" Olive's scream scattered everyone's heart as she hugged her mom for dear life. Doctors tried to pull Olive away but decided it was best to leave her alone "Please momma! Please don't go I need you! I love you momma please!" River had entered the room and pulled her away softly from her deceased mother then held Olive tight as she continued to sob. "please."
She sniffled, "please don't go."
