SURPRISE POV: Alessandro's Point of View
The plan was simple. Callie would act as a distraction taking pictures of the place to secure our cover while I explore the background for evidence. It was supposed to be the other way around, but in hindsight, I know the place better than she did.
Callie.
From the moment I had met her I knew she was different. I had an 'meeting' with Nyx Jackson, my boss' assistant, that morning when I glimpsed Callie exiting the office, before bumping into her. Her purple and beige attire had made her dark skin pop, emphasizing not only her colour but other features as well. Her beautiful hazel brown eyes showed shock and surprise when she saw me, even moreso when I helped her with the files she had dropped. We had exchanged a few words at the moment, mostly me flirting and her trying to make an escape.
Then, when she had walked away, I got a view of her from behind. Outlined by her attire were her curves and generous backside. While with Nyx, my thoughts had wandered from the rendezvous to thoughts of Callie instead- dirty thoughts that is. Each one filthier than the previous one.
We both decided to go home and change into more suitable attires for photographers doing their job, with some adjustments for our plan, that is. I chose to drive us back to the place, so I had time to change and quickly get to her house.
I chose to wear something that will conceal my gadgets, while looking the part. I paired some dark blue jeans with a dark grey, fitted sweater and brown shoes. I placed my gun, just in case of emergencies, against my back in my jeans. I threw on a matching brown trench coat to cover what I had on me.
I placed a camera from work in my car and proceeded to the address Callie gave me before we parted ways at work. It is a chipped camera that backs up the photos onto my phone and to a computer I had in the car. My other gadgets included a video camera in some shades I always kept into the car, and an earpiece and disguised communicator connected to a similar one that Callie has.
At the address, I parked and walked up to the door. As I raised my hand to ring the doorbell, the front door opened. I stood there in shock, mostly from the way she chose to dress tonight.
Luckily, it was as flashy and as fitted as the girls' signature outfits that I am accustomed too but it suited her. The light pink colour popped against her dark skin tone and simple makeup that enhances her naturally thick lips and lashes, brown eyes and high cheekbones. The dress, fitted but not too tight and revealing, was an above the knee ensemble that showed her thin waist and wide hips. It was off-the-shoulder, and loose around the arms and chest, showing a little bit of her cleavage.
She had paired everything with a matching clutch, shoes and jewelry.
"Wow."
"Wow, what," she said, smiling.
Did I say that out loud?
"Yes. I can confirm you said that out loud," she giggles. "Wow. Déjà vu much."
I chuckled and looked down as she stepped outside and locked her door. "Let's just go," I said walking back to my car.
I heard her heels clicking behind me as I walked. Hopefully she does not hear how hard my heartbeat was at that moment. Why do I have these feelings right now?
Unlike earlier that day, I do not opened the door for her. I still could not figure out why I was acting so weird since the elevator and the lab. She realized a couple seconds after I stepped to my door that I was not going to open hers and proceeded to open it herself.
Why am I feeling weird right now? I felt slightly guilty that there was a possibility that she had wanted me to open the door for her and I did. When was the last time I got laid? Shortly during my nervous rant and panic in my head, I started the car and drove to the scene.
Arriving in the parking lot, she made sure all her gear worked - her earpiece and communicator which blended well with the outfit she wore as well as her camera.
"Where is your gun?"
"Why would I need a gun?"
"Because there may be something tonight. I don't know. What else would you need a gun for?" I respond sarcastically.
"I know I am usually the cautious uptight one," she said, fixing her camera, "but you really need to relax." She chuckled at me, "Uptight and stressed is not your colour," she commented before letting out a laugh.
"Ughh,"I let out a huff, adjusted my gear and stepped out the car. "I just don't want any casualties tonight."
"Hence the reason why I did not bring one," she stepped out her side as well and looked at me above the roof of the car. "Don't worry big guy, I'm always protected."
What does that even mean?
"It means that I am a big girl who can protect herself. You just do your part and I'll do mine," she said, walking towards the entrance, swaying her hips. Damn...
I followed, after taking a few pictures of the outside first.
The inside of the building was as expected for a popular hangout - loud music, crowds of people dancing, lights and the distinct stench of cheap alcohol. I spotted Callie doing exactly what we planned - her distracting some of Stella's men - which I never knew she had while we were dating - as well as some of the perverted guys in the club.
Through the communicators, we can both hear what our partner hears. From her end, I could hear the slurred speech of the drunk men trying to flirt with her as well as the snapping of photos being taken by her camera.
Taking some pictures as to not be suspicious, I slipped into the back hallways. These lead to the office we were previously in as well as another office at the end.
Opening the large architecturally designed door, I entered the office quietly. The lights were already on and the place looked trashed. Papers were strewn everywhere, some shredded and others unrecognizable. The desk was worse - papers all over it. Someone was definitely here.
"Find anything," I heard Callie whispering through my earpiece.
"The main office is trashed. Papers everywhere. I'll keep looking," I responded. "Just keep-"
"Distracting the two meatheads. Got it," she replied quickly, before I heard her flirting with one of them. Ughhh.
"Can you not do that with me listening?" I said.
"No," she said, but I knew it was meant for me. She continued having a conversation.
I was taking a couple pictures before I came across a picture on the desk. No freaking way.
Suddenly, I heard the door handle jangle and a few voices.
