Jungkook
"Taehyung," I say while trying to control my emotions. I force myself to plaster on a fake smile. "Why didn't you tell me he was coming too?"
Waiting outside the costume store for us are none other than Taehyung's boyfriend and his friend Jin. They both look bored as they wait since they haven't see us approaching yet. I knew Jimin would tag along, but why is Jin here? I've even changed gyms in hopes of never seeing him again, but clearly that was for naught.
"The two of them needed to get materials for their school projects, so I offered to let him come with us," Taehyung calmly explains.
"But you know I don't like him."
"You don't like him?" he asks in surprise. "Why not?"
"Because he doesn't like me. And don't ask why because I honestly don't really know."
He gives me a doubtful glance and turns his attention towards the other two who have seen us by now. Jimin runs to give Taehyung a hug while I can tell from Jin's face that he wasn't expecting to see me here. Guess that makes two of us. What does he have against me anyway? He's been hostile towards me since the first day at the gym for no apparent reason.
We awkwardly wait as our friends greet each other with smooches. I glance at him for a moment and he gives me an evil look.
"What?" he hisses and I can only look away with a shrug. Jeez, is it illegal to look at people now? He doesn't have to be so angry.
When the other two are finally done, we step into the costume shop. They actually sell a variety of stuff in here, such as fabric and other DIY things. Taehyung and I need some equipment for future tricks and I assume the others need it for their strange clothes. Jimin has already made a strange outfit for Taehyung and he's agreed to wearing it right now. I don't understand how he dares to go out in public in a red suit covered with a bunch of golden chains, but I honestly think he likes it. Usually he hates too much attention, but this suit in particular fit his tastes somehow. It actually makes him look kinda edgy and cool, totally unlike his normal boring self. At most he'll switch up his white or black shirt for a blue one.
"What kind of stuff are you looking for, babe?" Jimin asks.
"I'm not quite sure yet, maybe we should look for your things first."
"Sure! I need a purple fabric and lots of glue. They have it over here."
Jimin drags Taehyung away by the arm, leaving Jin and I alone in all our awkwardness. I turn to him to try and start up some kind of conversation, but he spins around and purposefully walks away to ignore me. So rude! His behavior actually ticks me off and I follow him to the ribbon section where he digs around for something to buy. I tap him on the shoulder and he rolls his eyes before giving me his attention.
"Hi," I say.
"Hi?"
"Why do you hate me so much, Jin?"
He raises his eyebrows as if to ask if we're really going to talk about this right now, but I'm completely serious.
"Do I have a reason to like you?" he asks.
"No, but you don't have a reason to hate me either."
"Yes I do. Several actually. You kept annoying me at the gym with your stares and you always stole the machines I wanted to use right before I could get to them. Then you freaked me out by having me practically locked in your tiny ass apartment filled with a bunch of creepy stuff. THEN you forced me up on stage without my permission and went ahead and hypnotized me. I don't remember what kind of shit I saw, but whatever it was it sure didn't make me happy like you said it would. You lied to me and made me into a laughing stock in front of everyone there. That's why I hate you."
