Chapter 7

- Gareth's Axe broke... it broke, like a toy. Everyone is in shock, Bell, the Loki Familia, the customers, Mia, the staff, even... you. The sound of metal pieces hitting the wooden floor snapped you out of your unbridled rage, you dropped Bete, now unconscious, you went to the bar and paid for the food, you grabbed Bell who is still in shock and ran dragging him along with you, the two of you decide to slow down once you are far away and start to walk back home -

"So uhh... what are we going to do now? Everyone knows your level?" Bell asks

"We'll wait, if they want war, then we'd have no other choice but to fight back. Don't think of that now, we have other problems to fix." You say to him with fear lingering at the back of your head

"Like what?" Bell asks

"How can we defend ourselves once Goddess gets wind of what happened." You say to him, the fear starts to swallow you

"We? You are the one that strangled their member!" Bell retorts, also in fear of his Goddess

"Don't do this now, Bell!" You said nervously, Bell would be the only one who can calm Goddess down

"Besides, you were with me, you think Goddess will let you pass?" You ask him, Bell gets consumed with fear and starts sweating bullets

"I-I think I le-left something i-in the d-dungeon!" Bell shakily says as he tries to sprint away, but you grab him and pull him into a one-sided hug, not letting him go

"We're a family Bell, won't you help your brother out!?" You ask him, using your "Distressing" skill, Bell stops struggling and starts preparing

"You did WHAT!?" Hestia shouts, her tone makes you both shiver

- You both stand there, heads held low, like kids getting scolded by their mother. You finally gained the courage to look up and look at her in the eyes, but as your eyes met, you see the most murderous glare making you go back to your previous position. You had many enemies, some followers of Ares glared at you, but theirs cannot compare to what Hestia has right now, Hestia stands up, you two are waiting to be shouted again, but you hear laughter, you both look at her, she was laughing, this confused you both -

"I think we broke Goddess?" Bell asks

"U-um w-why are you laughing Go-Goddess?" You ask her nervous about how she'll respond

"Finally!" Hestia shouts still laughing

"Finally! Someone put that flat-chested Goddess in her place." She continues as her laughter turns to giggles and finally stops

"You're no-not mad?" Bell squeaks

"Of course I'm mad, how you two acted wasn't right, but it's fun seeing that Goddess remove her cocky tone just this once." Hestia explains, you both sigh in relief that your Goddess hasn't gone crazy

- All of you went to sleep after being scolded by Hestia, you were glad that she didn't get that mad, but you are still afraid about the Loki Familia's next actions. You can handle your own, but you worry about Hestia and Bell, you already lost your family once, you don't want that happening again, with that you sleep and just wait and prepare for the future -

- You wake up first Bell followed, then Hestia, Hestia talked to you about how you shouldn't reveal your power to others, after, she talked to Bell that his stats are growing fast, she told him that he has potential and that she will support him to the very end. After your heartfelt talk with your Goddess, she tells the two of you -

"Please. Don't leave me alone!" She says in a sorrowful manner that made your heart sink

"Okay. I won't do anything rash. I'll do my best to get stronger, but I'll never leave you alone, Goddess." Bell says with a smile, Hestia also smiles at this and now she turns her gaze to you, waiting for your answer

"Goddess! I said it before, and I'll do so again. I will never leave you or this Familia ever. So don't worry." You reply, Hestia widens her smile and returns back to her cheery demeanor

"As long as I can hear those words, I feel fine." Hestia says before standing up, "And so, Bell, (Y/N), I'll be gone for a few days, starting tonight. Is that alright?" She continues

- You both look at her in confusion, but she just giggles and ignores the two of you. You two went to get ready for the dungeon. This time you brought your scythe you called "Entity's Grasp" because killing monsters with bare hands isn't actually what you call weak -

- You two are now in front of the Hostess of Fertility. You wanted to head to the dungeon already, but Bell insisted that you should apologize first. Both of you went inside, luckily no customers were there. You approach Mia while Bell follows you -

"I am really sorry for how I acted." You say while bowing down

"Wow! You came all the way here just to say sorry. Well, we almost lost one of our most valued customers because of you. But don't worry kid, After you left the Loki Familia admitted that they were wrong, they will let it slide because of their member's attitude." She says relieving you of your nervousness and fear

"W-what about the Axe?" You ask, she signals that the Axe was included making you sigh in relief

"Now. Move along, I need to talk to Bell and give him some encouraging words." She says, Bell flinched upon hearing this

- you walk to the side and see a green-haired elf girl looking at you. You turn around to ignore her, but you feel someone pull you. She pinned you to the wall and put a knife at your throat -

"What are you doing here, GODKILLER!" She growls
