Chapter 11

- You turn around, and to your surprise you see Hestia, she has something strapped in her body which you assumed is Bell's weapons, she slowly walked towards you -

"Where's Bell?" She asks you hurriedly

"Ouch! Goddess! You see me, and you immediately ask where Bell is? Am I not part of your Familia?" You say in a fake hurt tone, you wait for Hestia to laugh, but her reaction is different from what you expected

"I-I'm sorry, I didn't me-mean it like that." Hestia replies looking down, you can tell she wasn't faking it, this is pure fear

"Bell went looking for Syr, follow the crow, and it'll bring you to him." You say in a sad tone, Hestia quickly leaves you

'Great! Thanks, Hephaestus! Now my own God is scared of me.' You thought to yourself

- You walked around the place, trying to find a solution to make Hestia go back in her ordinary attitude towards you, you sat down on a bench watching a family have fun, you start thinking back to your family, and how your dad promised you that he will bring you here sometime, you start to reminisce, but you were interrupted by screams of people -

'Bell and Goddess.' You thought to yourself, you are about to use the crow skill again but hear a child scream, you run to the location of the sound and see the same family you saw earlier

- You saw the children crying being held by their mother, and you see their father holding off 3 War Shadows, from how the man looks you can deduce that he is not an adventurer, but he is doing his best to keep his family safe -

"Shit! I need to help them!" You say as the images of your dead family flash in your eyes

- You quickly ran to the 1st War Shadow you see, grabbed it and threw it at the ground, the force killed it, puffing into smoke leaving a magic stone, you pull out your scythe and quickly dispatched the other two, the man went closer to you and hugged you -

"Thank you for saving me! I thought I'll never see my family again!" The man says crying

- You calm him down and reassure him, you look at the man's family and see that they are also relieved, but an orc suddenly comes out of the alley, you are too far away to reach them in time, but to your surprise, someone killed the Orc and left at fast speeds, for a regular person they wouldn't see who did it, but being level 20, you can see it clearly, it is the blonde woman from the Loki Familia -

'Something about her seems familiar.' You thought to yourself, you see the man reunite with his family and run away

- You wear your armor and followed the woman, she kills monsters all around the town, you stand in the roof overlooking her as she kills the last monster, people crowd around her, amazed at her skill and elegance as she dispatches the creature, Loki walks towards her -

"This is probably the last of them, don't you think? And now Ganesha owes me, too." Loki exclaimed showing-off their Familia's skill

"What a bunch of show-offs!" You scoff and went to leave, but something caught your attention

"Let's take a break. Aiz-tan!" Loki complained trying to get her attention

'Aiz!?' You internally said, suddenly flashbacks of the raid appear in your mind, and one question remained in your mind after "What was the Loki Familia doing there?" You snapped, you jumped down, pointing the scythe at Loki

"Why were you there?!" You ask angrily, the people all gasp in surprise at the sight of someone threatening to kill a God

"Why were you there?! Why did you help Ares-." You started before being cut off by a punch in the face by Aiz

"Don't threaten my Goddess! What gives you the right to do this! First, you almost kill my Familia member! Now you threaten to kill my Goddess!" She says with anger, you can see the commitment and bravery in her eyes, but behind that, was fear

"You're Goddess!? She kidnapped you, she is allied with Ares, and they attacked your village!" You rebut holding the part of your face she punched

"What makes you say that!? You weren't there! I lost my family and a very close friend that day! The Loki Familia saved me! She helped me and gave me purpose when I lost all hope!" She says as teardrops start to fall down her face, her words snapped you back to reality

"She... saved you?" You ask her puzzled, she points her weapon at you

"Now remove that mask! So I would know who I'm going to execute." She says, her voice full of hatred

- You hesitated, you didn't want her to see you like this, she is better off knowing you are dead -

"So be it!" She says as she dashes towards you, but Loki went and pull your hood down and remove your mask

- Aiz stops inches from your face, getting a look at you shocked her, she's frozen in place, tears threatening to fall -

"(Y-Y/N)?" She asks, surprised she almost killed her friend

"Hello Aiz, I'm surprised you still remember me." You say smiling at her

"H-How? We went to your farm, we... I saw you, dead, along with your family, how is this possible?"

"Surprise!" You say with a shaky voice, this reunion is slowly getting to you

"You know him? Aiz?" Loki asks confused at the scene in front of her

"He was the farm-boy I told you we should check out before we left for Orario." She answers tears falling down her face again

"You didn't answer my question. Why were you there?" You ask Loki with a less threatening tone

- Loki was about to explain what happened, but all of you suddenly hear a loud growl of a beast, you and Aiz look around finding the direction of the sound, it was followed by a sound of a young kid -

"Bell." You and Aiz said simultaneously before grabbing your weapons and heading for the direction of the sound
