You awoke from the light in your curtains, batting your eyelashes twice, opening and closing your eyes wide. You recalled the nightmare that occurred last night. In your nightmare, you had accidentally put in the necklace and you had an deadly love for yourself. You had killed yourself multiple different ways, including chainsawing yourself in half, tumbling headfirst into the Grand Canyon and trying to endure a serious conversation with Pansy Parkinson. The last one was by far the worst. Pansy has an IQ that goes about as far as Draco's arse. That's all she bloody thinks about, you'd think she would get somewhere with him at this point, but obviously not.
You giggled to yourself, applauding your witty comment. You rubbed your eyes and yawned, while reaching over to your muggle watch.
What time is it?
You peered at the watch.
6:12.
You got up from your bed and grabbed some muggle clothes. You slipped on some some black leggings then pulled on a plain white t-shirt followed by a plain black hooded jumper. Slipping on your white converse shoes, you remembered the necklace from last night. You needed to get rid of it as soon as possible.
You grabbed the locket and tiptoed out of the girls dormitories, the necklace in your jumper pocket. You got to the common room and saw a flash of platinum blonde hair in a plump Slytherin green chair facing the window. You started to tiptoe out of the room but to no avail. "Morning mudblood." Malfoy said, getting out of his chair and wheeling around to face you showing his everyday outfit of a plain black suit with a black shirt, which suited him so well, finished with the beautiful snake ring from last night.
Bloody hell. Malfoy looks good.
"Morning princess." You retorted, grinning. Malfoy stopped dead in his tracks. "Princess? That is the most ridiculous thing I've heard in years." Malfoy hit back, smirking triumphantly while strutting towards you. He walked all the way up to you so you were only inches apart. "Wow, muggle clothes do suit you-." Malfoy paused and then suddenly grabbed your hand, pulling it up for him to inspect. "Where's your ring, mudblood?" He snarled. You blushed bright red, half through embarrassment, half through fear. "I didn't want Cedric to think..." You mumbled quickly then trailed off. "He saw the ring and asked if it was mine and I said that it was mine and I wanted to give it to you.." You continued, looking down at your feet shamefully. You slowly looked up and saw an unreadable expression on Malfoy's face. "I see." Malfoy mumbled. Your eyes widened at the hurt in his voice. "No! Draco! It's not like I don't like you! I just don't... I don't want to be claimed as an object." You said. He looked up as if you had just told him that Christmas was tomorrow. He quickly changed his expression into a smirk. "You called me by my first name, l/n." He said, ignoring everything you said but his name. Your already red face flushed even redder and you spluttered, trying to excuse your error. "I didn't- you- Malfoy-! Ugh- I- you-." Malfoy laughed. "Don't worry, I'll eventually forgive you, for both of those things, at least we can still have those peaceful nights, I have some more ideas of what to do in this castle." He said, looking around.
You sighed a breath of relief, but needed an excuse to exit. "Malfoy, I'm going to go- uh-... eat something." You declared, very over-dramatically. He frowned at first, then smirked. "You're lying." He taunted, moving closer so his face was inches from yours. "What are you hiding, mudblood?" He asked, pouting. You shook your head frantically, your lips pursed. "If I kiss you, will you tell me?" He whispered, leaning in. Your eyes wanted to pop out of your sockets, you wanted to lean in too but your body reacted before your brain. You slapped him round the face. Hard. "Draco Lucius Malfoy! Don't you dare try to flirt, kiss or taunt me with cliche pick up lines for information!" You scolded. Draco held the side of his face and scowled. "You're just like my mother." He mumbled. You rolled your eyes playfully, taking it as a compliment. "I'll be off now." You declared, marching out of the common room with the biggest smirk on your face.
As you shut the portrait hole you burst into a fit of giggles and headed down the stairs. After a while, you wondered if Malfoy was being serious about kissing you. The thought gave you nervous butterflies which you quickly shook off. He was obviously flirting with you to play with your little mudblood feelings.
Now where to hide this demonic necklace?
You pulled the necklace out of your jumper pocket and held it in your hand. You looked through the halls, thinking of where you could stow it away where no one would ever find it again. Then you had a brilliant idea. An extreme plan formed in your mind. You knew it might be impossible, but you'd be saving more then one life, surely.

You sprinted back to the common room to grab your wand as it was essential for this mission. You whisper-shouted the password and ran in. You lifted your head and saw Cedric, again, facing you, sitting in a comfy chair with a shocked face. His face softened into a smile. "Hey y/n." He said, smiling. You smiled back. "Hey Cedric." You said, returning his smile, you also noticed that Malfoy wasn't there. "I'm just going to grab my wand." You said, heading towards the staircase before he could say another word. You tiptoed past Luna's room as you still heard snoring and hurried into your room, grabbing your wand and rushing back out again, repeating your steps to the common room. Cedric wasn't there so you took your chance and snuck out of the common room.
