Cedric was sitting in a comfortable looking leather chair, reading; 'Hogwarts, A history'. "Hey." You said while giving him a small wave. He looked up at you with his big brown eyes and smiled. He then gestured for you to come sit next to him. "Hey y/n". He said. You flushed.

How does he make me blush so easily?!

A bit of awkward silence followed. "Hogwarts a history?" You asked, while looking at his book. "Yeah," he laughed. "I'm looking to see if there is a reason for everyone, but us, disappearing." He sighed while running a hand through his hair. He looked quite sad, you would expect him to. This day has been insane and it was only 4:37 pm. You couldn't help but swoon. He was so cute. "Where's Hermione when you need her." You said, glumly. He laughed and your stomach felt like a butterfly net. He looked up at you again with a nervous smile. "Hey... y/n." He started, you could almost swear he was blushing. "I know we've only known each other for a couple of hours, but it feels as if I've known you for years." He said, while looking straight into your eyes. Your mouth fell open slightly. You've never had a boy talk to you like that, nobody asked you out, no boy seemed interested in you. So how was the most handsome and sweet boy you could ever meet taking interest in you? You flushed bright pink and tried to make out words but it just sounded like gibberish. He laughed again and pulled you into a hug, while whispering gently in your ear; "Whatever happens y/n... we should stick together." Your body was shaking. You couldn't breathe. How did he do that to you? Your face was so pink that it almost glowed. You wanted to stay there, in his arms forever. "Am I interrupting something?" The cold drawl of a voice spoke and it startled them both. They looked up. Of course they knew who it was, Malfoy. He narrowed his eyes at the both of you. "I need the password for the common room. Lovegood locked me out." He said with irritation. You giggled and his eyes darted to yours. You thought he was going to say something cruel but he just waited for the password. "It's balderdash." You said eventually. The whole ordeal was very awkward. He nodded and then opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something to you. He stared at you for a quick second with an unreadable expression then clenched his jaw shut, turned and strode out of the library. Cedric looked round back at you with a 'what a prat' expression and you both broke into fits of laughter.
