It had been several days since your disposal of the necklace. For those past days, nothing interesting in particular had happened. You'd stayed with Luna most of the day time in the library, still on the mission of finding out why they were alone in the school, unable to get out. Of course Cedric and Draco were there as well, however Cedric was always trying to solve the problem on his own and Draco was normally utterly useless, moaning and groaning, whining about how he missed his mother and father's letters and sweets. As much as Malfoy annoyed you, his cooking was exquisite, and it was one of the few things you looked forward to these days. You also hung out with Malfoy at the same time every night. You both did quite an array of activities. Today, Malfoy was surprising you with tonight's occupation.

That day you were slumped in a wooden chair, reading through an extremely large leather book, playing with the loose strings in your favourite, Gryffindor red jumper. Cedric was sitting next to you, flipping through; 'hogw-arts, a history' for the seventh time and running his hand through his hair, as he did every time he was confused or troubled. Malfoy was sitting opposite you, today was a unique day that he was helping. He was reading a book, equally as large as yours, named; 'The uncovered mysteries of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry'. He actually looked quite focused and worried, and once in a while, you stole a glance at his cold blue eyes and untamed platinum blonde hair, and smiled. In quite an opposite manner, Luna was pacing the library, her ,usually, soft platinum blonde hair, feral, missing her airy personality, due to the fact of nobody believing her theory that nargles carried off everyone in Hogwarts. "I'm telling you, it's the nargles." Luna muttered darkly. "Luna, you keep on talking about these nargles, if you could just tell us what they are-." Cedric said. "Nobody knows, that's what I've been telling you this whole time! Instead of reading that silly book for the hundredth time, why don't you listen to me!" Luna spat. Cedric sat there, with a perplexed look on his face. You were shocked at Luna's outburst, you'd never seen her angry. Draco snorted. "Looks like Lovegood has finally snapped." Malfoy snarled, not even looking up from his book. You looked up at your, once calm and collected classmates and class rivals crumble. You slammed your book shut. "That's it, I've had enough of all of you. We're going to do something fun together and relax. Why don't we just seize this moment, and instead of trying to figure out this situation, have some FUN?" You said, standing up. You stared down at them. Luna looked like she had a little bit of a glint back in her eye and Cedric grinned at you, while Draco stared up at you with another unreadable expression, his electric blue eyes piercing into yours. As if their disagreement never happened, Luna and Cedric started packing away and chattering enthusiastically. Draco's eye twitched then he shut his book, not taking his eyes off of you. He got up and walked to you, so close that he was breathing onto your ear. "You owe me, l/n. Big time." He whispered sternly. You flushed bright pink. "What for?" You muttered stubbornly Draco snorted. "Taking my idea of course." He said. "The one about having fun in the castle." You went red of embarrassment and only managed nod in apology.

"I beat you again!" You taunted at Cedric, clutching the snitch in your hand. "I'll get it next time!" Cedric retaliated, grinning. All four of you were outside, playing 'catch the snitch' in the quidditch pitch. For the third time in a row, you had reached the snitch just before Cedric. Malfoy was looming back, not really trying to play. While Luna kept on attempting to cheer him on. As you lowered the snitch, you caught a glimpse of Malfoy's face. He was unmistakably bored. You bit your lip and had an argument with yourself, then finally decided to fly over to Malfoy. "Draco, if you dare try to slack off next round, you're going to have a turkey as a body." You said. Draco's eyes widened, then he looked at you. "Cute attempt. I guess I could try." He said, smirking. You gave him a grin in return and all four of you flew down to the grass, to start another round.
You lifted the snitch in the air and all four of you stood in a circle with your broom. "Ready... GO!" Cedric called. Four brooms sped up in the air and you all dashed around, looking for the snitch. You zoomed around in search and bumped into Cedric by accident. Both of you burst out laughing and continued on. The post-autumn air was stinging your face, but you didn't care, you were having a bloody good time.
You saw a golden glint fly a couple of meters in front of you, but it seemed two others did as well. As you sped forward on your nimbus 2002, you could see streaks of black and yellow on your side. You leaned forward to boost your acceleration and the wind whistled painfully in your ear. You extended your arm as far as your limbs could take. You watched as the snitch became larger and larger as you approached it. You were so close to grabbing it, you were almost there, you could feel the cold metal on your fingertips... A pale flash snatched it out of the air and you flew right into an audience stand. Suddenly, it all went black.
