LINK’S PERSPECTIVE -

I stare down at the pile of golden blonde hair beneath my feet, shocked at Zelda’s new rebellious side. Is it to do with me, and what just happened? Or did she really just want her hair cutting?? I stand, unable to move, in amazement of this beautiful girl in front of me. She looks at me and grins, carefully pushing her fingers through her short hair. I smile, and reach out towards her cheek. I swirl my fingers lightly on the soft, pale surface of her face, and slowly bring my hand down so it rests on her neck. I move my fingers to the back of her neck, which sends shivers down her spine. I pull her towards me, and kiss her deeply, moving my fingers carefully through her hair. Shock waves of electricity spark through as both as we kiss, never wanting to part. Finally, after what feels like months, we break apart, foreheads touching and lips trying to reconnect. I pull back, not wanting to go too far - mainly for Zelda’s sake, as I don’t think she’s ever been in a relationship before. She’s a great kisser though, to say the least.

Confused as to how she’s never had a boyfriend, I decide to ask her, my hand still wrapped around her hair and the other now clutching her waist against my torso.
“Zel, how come you’ve never had a boyfriend before?” I ask, treading carefully so I word the sentence correctly. I don’t even know if she likes the nickname I made for her, but when she blushes and smiles widely at the sound of hearing it, I’m reassured.
“I don’t know...I guess..I just haven’t found ‘the one’.” She replies, gazing up at me with longing, emerald green eyes. I smile, finding it hard to resist her silent pleas. She leans up towards me, and kisses the corner of my mouth, tormenting me. “Hey, that’s not fair! No teasing!” I say, frowning at her as I lean forwards, trying to catch her lips with mine, but she ducks out of the way, laughing loudly. I chase after her, finally managing to catch up with her and grab her hand. I spin her around to face me, and she comes closer to me, pressing her warm body against my chest. She stares up at me, smiling as a slight hue of read spreads across her cheeks. “No more teasing, ok!?” I joke, before leaning in to kiss her. I pretend that i’m going to kiss her on the lips, and she pushes herself forward in excitement and anticipation, but I dodge it quickly and kiss her ear instead.
“Hey! No fair!! You said no teasing!” She says, pulling away and standing with her hands on her hips.
I laugh, tilting my head towards her, “Two can play at that game, Princess.”
I smirk and she rolls her eyes, reaching out to grab my shirt. Before she can, however, I turn on my heels and sprint away into the sea of green grass surrounding us. I can hear Zelda’s feet pounding against the earth as she runs to keep up with me. Suddenly, I slow down, tired from my sprint. I hear her laugh, then feel a sudden impact from behind. I get pushed to the floor, winding myself, with something heavy on top of my back. I roll over, and see Zelda sprawled on top of me, smiling. Her really short hair dangles into my face, but I can still see her face incredibly clearly. Her hair no longer falls in front of her eyes, so I can see her beautiful face more. I reach up towards her, brushing my hand against her cheek. She giggles, and leans down, our lips meeting, passionately.

I revel in the moment. How her tender, soft pink lips ignite me, sending sparks all throughout my body. I sit up, still clutching her cheek in my hand. I place my left hand on her thigh, and caress the smooth surface. It’s as if flames are dancing all around us - flames of passion and love. They spiral out of control, making our brains think irrational thoughts. Link. Stop now. Before it goes too far. I think to myself, trying to break our lips apart. However, Zelda pulls me towards her even more, our lips now pressed so much together that we’re almost merged into one body. She sits, cradled in my lap, and I push her down to the floor, still kissing her passionately. I straddle over her body, and kiss her more deeply, tracing my fingers in places that I never thought I could possibly explore until this morning. Zelda’s hand carefully grasps the hem of my tunic, as we still kiss in the bright sunlight. She starts to move it upwards, placing her hand on my chest, which sends flutters of passion through my tummy. I stop kissing her for a second, raising one of my eyebrows, questioning her rash decision. She nods quickly, obviously knowing what I was asking. I smile, happy that she wants this. And so do I. I reconnect our lips and she continues to caress my chest, before we break apart so she can move the shirt finally over my head. As I try to quickly wriggle myself out of the tight fabric - so I can kiss her again - a noise from behind us startles us both. A maniacal laugh. Both of our faces turn beetroot red, embarrassed that someone just witnessed our heavy makeout session. Even though I wanted Zelda so badly, I was mildly thankful to this stranger for interrupting us before we went too far. I didn’t want to make the wrong choice, knowing that I wouldn’t have the strength in me to stop my physical - and mental - desire, if she had succeeded in taking off my tunic.
I sigh, turning around to face the way that the laugh came from. My tunic slips back down to where it belongs, and I feel Zelda wrap her arms around my chest, tightly. I gasp in shock when I see what it is standing there.

A Yiga.

Zelda cowers behind me, and I push her down to the floor, not wanting her to get hurt. I run back to our camp and collect me gear, quickly loading my bow with an arrow. I grin in fury at the stupid Yiga member that stands before me, crouched into a strange position, bouncing on his heels slightly, as if he were about to hit back a tennis ball. His black and red, skin tight outfit makes me cringe as it stretches as he moves. The strange, creepy white mask he wears is slightly wonky on his head. I scowl and bring my bow up to my face, aiming right between where his eyes should be, but as I can't see them I don't know whether I'm aiming in the correct spot. I let go of the arrow and it lands with a 'thunk' in his skull. He lets out a high-pitched, girly scream, and he ends up on the floor, arms and legs sprawled in different directions. Without a second thought, he pushes himself up off the floor, rather majestically, and aims his bow at me. One of his many shots grazes my left arm, slightly ripping the surface of my skin. "Ow." I mutter, not loud enough for him to hear. I scowl even more, and run towards him, sword in hand, before swinging it. All of a sudden, the Yiga disappears into thin air, only a puff of red, misty smoke left behind in the shape of the Yiga logo, which is engraved onto his mask.

I whip around, hearing a crunch behind me. There you are, you– But before I can finish that thought, I quickly duck out of the way of yet another arrow which misses me. Just. I stand back up, squaring my shoulders and running towards him again. This time, before he can poof away, I catch him across the chest with my sword. A deep gash appears, bleeding out in rivers of deep scarlet blood. Zelda gasps from behind me. Somehow, he's still not dead. He stands up, clutching his chest and coughing loudly, spitting up blood as he does so. I smirk and jab the sword forwards. Before impact, however, the idiot disappears again. I turn around, expecting that he's gone behind me again. I was right. He's stood there, but so is Zelda. She has her eyes closed, face turning red with the strenuous amount of effort she's putting in, trying to use her magic. She grits her teeth, really trying to push the magic out of her, but to no avail. Alas, she opens her eyes slowly, bringing down her raised hand, and sighs deeply. The Yiga stands there, clutching at his wound, and laughs. Before I can go over there and kill him once and for all, he disappears into yet another cloud of red smoke. This time, he doesn't appear behind me. He must've returned back to wherever their hideout is. Tell your boss that we made it out alive!! See how happy he will be then! I smirk at that thought.

I run over to Zelda, crouching onto the ground beside her. She's obviously weeping. Her back moves in jittery motions, and she has her head in her lap, her short hair falling down in a torrent of blonde. I place my arm around her, rubbing her back carefully, trying to calm her down. She looks up at me, her face red and stained with tears. I smile sadly, and bring her into my chest. She sniffles, and rubs her head against my chest, grabbing my arms and holding herself against me. I lean down my head, and rest it on hers. I kiss the top of her head, and she sighs calmly. She looks up at me, after wiping her eyes with her sleeve. "Sorry. And thanks again, for saving my life." She says, smirking and trying to think of the positives.
I nod, smiling at her, "Anything for you, Princess." I say, getting a sense of déjà vu at the phrase. I must've said it before. She grins, her face turning pink, and she leans up towards me and gives me a peck on the lips. She chuckles, and I frown at her. "I thought we agreed. No teasing." I say, jokingly, and pat her on the back carefully. She grins at me, and sits on my lap.
"Yeah. I lied." She says, her eyes lighting up at my reaction. I pretend to be hurt, putting a hand against my chest and feigning a shocked expression. We both laugh. I kiss her back, just a peck, and she scowls at me in response, obviously knowing that I'm a hypocrite.
