Love Me Until the End ~ A Zelink Fanfiction

~ Chapter 14 ~

ZELDA’S PERSPECTIVE - 

“Zelda..As your powers have started to regain themselves, you may now move onwards on your journey. Go to Goron City now, and find someone who may help with your powers.” King Dorephan says to us the next morning. Me and Link stand in front of the large fish King, and then nod our heads slowly as he informs us of what to do next. After months of Sidon’s training sessions with me, my powers have only just started to come back to me, and now it’s time for me to move onto another stage of training. With a Goron. Hopeful that it will do some good - if I don’t get squished by them - me and Link set off later that day, get on Storm and Epona, and start to travel towards Goron City. 

As Storm casually trots further down the large path towards Goron City, I gaze to my right, where Link rides on Epona. He looks over at me and grins. I smile back, before finding that my eyes were trailing elsewhere, therefore I blush and rip my head away. “Like the view, Princess?” He says, smirking. I whip my head back to his eyes, and scowl at him. I shake my head, “Maybe.”, I say, and scratch the back of my neck. I gaze back to the way we’re travelling, and carefully push Storm into a faster motion. Link does the same with Epona, and before we know it we’re having a huge chase.
“Catch me if you can!!” I yell behind me to where Link is frantically trying to catch up with me. He pulls his face into a contorted smile, and pushes Epona to go even faster. Before I can move Storm to go faster, Link is by my side, and then he overtakes me, laughing.   

I let out some kind of growl, and yell, “You’re not getting away that easily!” and Storm automatically moves into a sprinting gallop, trying to catch up with Epona and Link, who are now about 5 metres ahead of us. “C’mon, boy!” I say, stroking Storm’s mane calmly, urging him silently to let us win this chase against Link. Much to my surprise, Link starts to slow down, and then stops completely. Storm speeds past them, not being able to stop fast enough. Finally, we come to a halt a little bit further ahead. “I won.” Link says, smirking deeply, and I roll my eyes, before coming up with an excuse, “We never said where the finish line was. It’s here.” and I point down to where me and Storm are situated. Link laughs, tilting his head back. He trots over to us, and then reaches out his hand. I take it. 

“I guess I can take a little loss. I’m always winning when i’ve got you, anyway.” He says, smiling genuinely. 

I blush, pushing the deep red colour to its extreme, and look away quickly. “Guess I could say the same for you.” I murmur, almost silently, and look back up at Link. Great..He heard. 

He grins at me, and pulls me off Storm and places me in front of him on Epona. He wraps his arms around me, pulling my waist towards him. I look up at his perfectly sculpted face, and gaze into his gorgeous blue eyes. He slowly leans towards me, and kisses me gently, yet passionately. The tenderness of his lips against mine sends shivers down my spine, and before I know it I’m wrapping my arms around his neck, pulling him closer to me, trying to blend our bodies together. We separate our lips, lingering on each other, reluctant to stop. He kisses me once more, and then we finally pull apart. We’re still clutching each other so close that I feel as if we’re one person, and I feel Link’s careful hand on the back of my head, playing calmly with my short hair. I stroke his shoulder, and he looks at me with lust plastered on his face. 

“I love you.” He says, and I smile, blushing. I flutter my lashes a little, and look deeper into his eyes. I lean up to kiss him. Passionately, we join our lips back together, and after what feels like an eternity, we break apart. 

“I love you too, Link.” I smile, and he reconnects our lips, more passionately this time.
