ZELDA'S PERSPECTIVE -

I carefully close the door to Link's house behind me, trying not to slam it, as I don't want to frighten Link. He isn't in the best state right now, what with the injured leg, and probably the worry that comes with it. I'm not sure anyone in this village will be able to treat his wound, but I may as well ask around to see if I can find someone who would be of assistance. I walk over the long, wooden bridge and back towards the center of the village. The small row of cottages and shops, on each side of the moss-grown stone road, are a creamy yellow colour, and flowers and ivy thrive along the walls. Wooden trellises stand above the doorway to some shops, and as I walk further down the street, I smile at the villagers and wave back at them. At least they're joyful. They probably know that I'm the princess. Their polite attitude towards me mildly angers me, as I know it is only because I am "royalty". Like always, I just wish I was treated normally, with respect, but just like any ordinary person. Alas, that will never happen. I'm always classed as "the princess" and "your majesty". I walk towards the clothes shop, and open the wooden door slowly. I peer in. There's nobody inside. Frowning, I step inside the warm interior of the clothing store, and close the door quietly behind me. I walk towards the short rows of clothing, and wonder where the shop keeper is. I turn around to leave after a while of waiting, and jump about a foot into the air when I see a woman, seemingly cowering, in the corner beside the door. I raise an eyebrow and ask, "What are you doing in the corner?".
Flustered, the frail woman shivers and says, "Oh...I– Uh– I just really like this corner??" She says, making it out to be a question. I nod my head slowly, pretending to understand her odd ways. I gaze at her, mildly frightened at her weird attitude. "Umm..well...I just wanted to ask, do you know anyone who can treat wounds?" I ask, tilting my head in anticipation. She brings her hand to her face, and rubs her chin.
"Hmm…" she ponders, and then shakes her head, as if she were trying to extricate herself from her deep thoughts. "I'm not too sure. There'll be someone. Maybe try the Inn. I'm sure they'll have first aid there."

I nod, thank the strange girl, and walk out of the door, practically jogging away from the shop and further down the street. I go into the food shop next, get a few ingredients which could be of use, then walk over the tiny wooden bridge, and over to the Inn. I walk up the long, grassy staircase, and open the large double doors to the Inn. The reception desk lays just to the left of the large hallway, and I walk over to the clerk at the counter. I rest my elbows on the tabletop, and place my head on my fists. "Hello! Welcome to the Hateno Village Inn! May I help you?" She asks, politely.
I smile at her, and reply, "Yes. I was just wondering whether there's any way that I could get some emergency treatment for my–" I cut myself off. I'm seriously being this stupid?? Fretting over literally nothing. Link is your boyfriend. Just say it. Just. Say. It. I finally manage to get the two syllable word out, "–boyfriend?"
The woman nods, and rings a service bell which is over on her side of the counter. She smiles at someone, who came from a room right behind me. I turn around and see a man walking towards me. "This is my husband, he's medically trained. He should be able to help heal your boy." The woman says, smiling.
The man smiles too, and says, "Hello there!! Lead the way, ma'am, and we'll get your boy sorted out in no time!". His jolly movement shows me that this is one of the first times he has been needed for a job. Is this a bad idea??

In actual fact, it was a brilliant idea. The man manages to bandage up Link's leg, after disinfecting and cleansing the gash. Link is noticeably happier, and is more himself now that he is safe from infection and can put more weight on that before. The man says that he'll come every day at noon to check up on the wound, change his dressings, and make sure that Link will be back to full health as soon as possible. I never got his name. He also said that it might take about two weeks for a full recovery. Plenty of time for me and Purah to research, however…

Over the next few days, I've made sure Link was alright, and then I go up to the Ancient Tech Lab, and research with Purah. We get along like a house on fire – in the good way – and make steady progress each day. So that's what I do this morning.

"Oh Hylia! I forgot!" I say to Purah, then grabbing out my previous notes from when I was studying the Guardians at hom– I was about to say home…I mean Hyrule Castle. I hand over the sheets of paper. The length of the research is around four pages, full of crammed, tiny writing, and as Purah takes them off me, her face lights up. She reads some of it, and nods slightly.
"Oh, shit, Zelda! This is gonna be so cool! We've already made so much progress, this will only add to that!!" I wince at her sudden curse word, and Purah rolls her eyes mid sentence.

We've already found out that it's some kind of mechanical error with the rogue Guardians, but we don't entirely know what just yet. Ganon used some kind of extract to insert into the Guardians, which turned them against us. All we need to do is research where that extract went in the Guardian, and how we can remove it in every rogue Guardian.

Presumably, we must create something which will overpower the original "bad guy extract" (as Purah likes to call it), and create a substance which will allow the Guardians to return to our side.

It's going to take a while.
