Colin woke again to Razaia shaking him. "Please... don't make me face them alone..." she whimpered as his eyes opened.
He took her hands in his, looking up at her. "What's going on?"
"He... he's here..." Razaia was shaking against Colin, her hands gripping his tightly. Silas rose to his feet as Elijah and the little girl Talya walked into the hall. The stone cold look on Elijah's face was enough to send shivers through them both. His lips were pulled into a nasty snarl, his misaligned nose making his face look even angrier in the dark.
Silas looked determined, his gaze set on Elijah and his fists balled up. Colin pressed Razaia closer to him, pulling them both to their feet. He steadied himself against the wall, his arm wrapped tightly around Razaia's waist.
Talya giggled as she and Elijah stopped in between the two cells.
"Tell me..." Elijah's deep voice growled. "Where is she? The Eye has demanded her presence and I am not one to deny his requests."
"Who are you talking about?" Colin spat with all the venom he could muster, pushing Razaia behind him.
"Why... the little birdie of course. Robyn. One of you three has to know what little nest she's hiding in, I'm sure."
Colin shook his head. "We haven't seen her since she escaped this wretched place."
"Stop. Talking." Silas growled lowly through gritted teeth, holding up a hand towards Colin. Silas stepped up to the bars. "I will never tell you where she is, you traitor. All you do is hurt people, Elijah. You were given a tremendous power, and this is how you use it? To hurt othe—"
Elijah cut him off. "Save me the lecture. Tell me where she is or one of the little ones gets it."
Razaia pressed up against Colin's back, digging her face into his shoulder blade. He tightened his grip on her waist, looking around for any escape.
Talya giggled again. "We get to hurt them? I love hurting people." A sinister smile rose to her face, her green eyes filling with malice.
Elijah's gaze hardened. "So that's it then? You won't tell me?" He smiled viciously, his eyes seeming to glow. "We found the little princes Silas. They are with the others now. That little school in New City was a good hiding place, but it wasn't good enough."
"You wouldn't. You wouldn't dare touch them. You care about them too, I know you do. What happened to you? How did power change you so easily? We made a promise, do you remember? No matter how powerful we got, we would never use our powers for anything bad. What happened to that? What happened to you?"
Elijah laughed, the sinister, deranged laughter filling the hall. "You are so naive. You actually believe that? Are you so blind to think I wouldn't want more?"
Silas looked sad. "I always knew you were a power-hungry, lost little boy. I just didn't realize how much you'd change."
"You're a fool. And you're a fool to think I wouldn't hurt your precious sons. I know you see them that way. Dear, old, dad. Can't protect his sons from the big, bad, uncle."
"I'll see you in hell, you bastard."
"I'm looking forward to it." Elijah grinned, the sinister look not dropping for a moment. "As for you two..." he sucked in a breath through his teeth. "I wouldn't be getting comfortable. You won't be here for long!" He laughed maniacally as he and Talya left the hall. The door slammed again and Razaia started to cry.
Silas shook in pure rage, his eyes burning orange and flames rising from the ground beside him. Colin and Razaia stepped back as Silas raged. The flames shot in all directions, burning anything they could. The room began to fill with smoke and flames, before dying down again. Silas sat on the floor, crying.
