The elevator pinged and the doors slid open smoothly. All she could see ahead of her were two plush doors. She blinked feeling Dominic's hand in hers as she stepped out and looked around the corridor. There were flowers in bowls and big extravagant plants.

The concierge stepped out the elevator and pushed open the doors into the apartment. Curiously she let go of Dominic's arm and stepped inside. The living area was well lit and open and airy. The interior white, with black furniture. And light blue carpet. It had Dominic written all over it. There was a big window running across the whole wall opposite to the door she had just come through. She walked over and looked out. You could see across the whole of London, all the buildings looked  like Lego toys and you could barely see the people. That's how high up they were.

Samantha took a deep breath and smiled. She had finally taken a big step into her future. She heard a deep laugh behind her and turned around. Dominic was behind her, leaning against the door frame watching her.

"I guess that means you like the apartment then?" He smiled at her. Although his eyes were searching her face. He was waiting for the tears. She was just a kid after all, she should have been bawling by now. But she wasn't. He was surprised.

"I do" She replied smiling.

"Thank you for coming to get me, I'd probably be sleeping on the street if it wasn't for you" She walked over to him slowly, and looked him in the face. For a moment he thought she was going to kiss him, but instead she buried her face into his shirt and hugged him. He wrapped his arms around her embracing her back, and looking at them both reflected in the window he liked what he saw. And suddenly the beast in him awoke and he stopped thinking.

"So, Samantha. How about a drink to celebrate your deal and leaving home?"

Samantha looked up at him still beaming.

"Yeah sure" She slipped out of his arms and walked over to the kitchen. But he quickly chased her and caught the tops of her arms.

"How about I pour the drinks, eh?" He smiled at her, and she looked at him cautiously.

"Yeah okay" She looked at him a little longer and then went and sat on one of the sofa's in the middle of the room taking off her sandals. Dominic turned and walked into the kitchen unit and opened the cabinet he kept the alcoholic beverages in, his hand slipped past the Lambrini, and all the weaker ones, and went straight for the whiskey. He pulled out the E and J and got out two glasses. He poured in a good bit in each glass, and then he opened the side drawer slyly checking that Samantha wasn't looking. He pulled out a pill from the drawer and crushed it on the counter, before putting it all in Samantha's glass. He shook it up a little, and then took the glasses over to the living area.

"Here you go" He said passing her the glass. She put it down on the table and didn't drink any. He frowned.

"Lets do a toast" He smiled picking back up her glass, and handing it to her.

"To one of the countries most beautiful and innocent rose's. Let her be the golden goose I've been looking for, and let her become as successful as she dreamed she'd be. To Samantha" He raised his glass and clinked it with hers before downing his glass in example.

Samantha smiled and then downed hers, but as she put the glass down she got a funny taste in her mouth. She paused, trying to figure out what it could be, but before she could try and figure it out she became dizzy.

"Dominic" She said. Standing up and trying to walk over to him, she was swaying by now and couldn't stand straight. Dominic caught her and held her close looking over her.

"Are you okay?" He asked, secretly glad that his plan was working so far.

"Dominic, I feel dizzy, and there's a weird taste in my mouth" She mumbled. He just about made out what she said.

"Well I'll make it go away okay?" He said pressing his lips to her neck and picking her up.

"Where are we going?" She asked as he carried her across into another room. It was dark and she couldn't see anything. He put her down on to something fluffy and warm and her head touched what she just about recognised as a pillow.

"Dominic?" She asked. She could hear a rustling and then he was beside her. She felt his lips on hers and she couldn't control herself. She was kissing him back. She couldn't remember why she shouldn't, but she couldn't even remember why he should. He lifted her gently and pulled off her shirt and she didn't try and resist. His lips were back on hers and he undid her jeans pulling them off. Then he leaned over her, looking into her eyes.

"I told you I would have you one day" He said. And everything became a blur, as Samantha sunk into the dreamlike and surreal mistake she had allowed herself to make.

The sound of the shower running woke her up. She blinked in the light of the sun rising and stretched yawning before sitting up. Holding the sheets against her bare skin she stood up. She felt funny, and sore too. And it took her a moment to realise what must have happened. Although she could only remember having one drink. One drink couldn't do that to you, could it?

She walked around the bed and into the en suite bathroom and saw through the shower curtain that Dominic was in the shower. She sighed, turning around and walking back out and sat on the edge of the big bed waiting for him to come out.

10 minutes later, he came out with a white fluffy towel around his waist, humming. And when he saw her he beamed.

"Good morning beautiful" He said leaning down to kiss her on the top of her head. She accepted his kiss but then looked at him.

"What happened last night?" She looked at him through narrow eyes, searching for the truth in his.

"Don't you remember? We had a couple of drinks, and then you kissed me? And then we made love right here in this bed" He smiled. Samantha stared at him blankly.

"I don't remember any of that Dominic. I only remember having one drink. After that, nothing"

He smiled and then kissed her shoulder.

"It must have been the ecstasy of the moment" He grinned and the clapped his hands. "Now shower up and get dressed. I'm taking you to your launch party".
