I think I forgot to mention there is swearing and violence involved...

Pain was what he felt as each fist made contact with his jaw, over and over.

Anger was what he felt as they laughed after each painful punch and kick, like beating someone was a joke to them.

In front of him stood his three enemies; Jake, Kyle and Michael. They all had grins on their faces but not the friendly smiles friends and family give. It was wicked.

Every word, shove, kick and punch inflicted upon him, this was the very smile they gave him.

Not having one ounce of care for Mark, they never hesitated to hurt him any way possible. Teachers, staff, parents and his own parents never did anything or care of how much pain he had to put up with every single day of his miserable life.

With anger forcefully kept to himself in fear of letting it go and the world around him ignoring and hurting him, Mark was sure someday he was going to let it out on someone and...kill them.

"What a delightful day that would be," an airy voice said cheerfully.

"Shut up, you piece of shit!" Mark yelled at the voice that belonged to the shadow, which sometimes seems to belong to him as it only appeared where his own shadow would.

It only chuckled.

"What the fuck did you just say to me?" Jake asked angrily as the other two smiled with excitement.

Mark didn't get a chance to answer as Jake yelled something at Kyle in an language he was certain was Spanish and stepped backwards for Kyle to get in front. Knowing what to expect once seeing the same smile given to him everyday from them, Mark stepped forward and awaited for the pain to overtake him with each punch and kick.

It did come.

Punches from Kyle were directed at his jaw as kicks were directed to his stomach and legs, making him slowly fall to the ground as Kyle continued the torture with wicked excitement. Anger and pain was what he could feel, mixing together like a murderous potion being brewed.

Jake watched with a smile, clearly happy of what Mark was getting from saying something to him that he thought was directed to him, but really, it wasn't. Michael watched the scene in front of him in silence with an emotionless experience on his face.

After a few minutes of beating Mark up until bleeding scars and bruises was visible, Kyle stopped and took a step back as he breathed heavily with a large smile on his face.

Taking in a few breaths in and out to calm himself from the pain overtaking his senses, Mark got up from the grey concrete with his trembling hands. Instead of crying or yelling at the snickering bullies, he only spat blood at them and glared.

"Kill them already!" The shadow said impatiently from behind him.

"No," Mark told the shadow.

"Hm?" Michael looked at him questioningly.

"I wasn't talking to you!" Mark snapped at him.

"Then who the fricken hell are you talking to, whimp?" Jake asked, annoyed.

"No one," Mark managed to get out through clenched teeth with anger.

"Kill them! Kill them! Kill them!" A familiar voice chanted excitedly behind him.

It only angered him more.

"Can't you just leave!" Mark yelled loudly, only making the shadow laugh like he cracked the world's funniest joke.
