The World's Annoying

You know, other than having awkward small talks, we never had a longer-than-5-seconds conversation since we started walking out of the dorms.

Well, other than her continuously asking me questions upon questions about the school layout and whatnot, along with photo-worthy spots, it was either short responses or silence from my side.

Anyway, we managed to reach the Northern Building where I retraced my steps towards the offices. And luckily, I was able to remember the route since we approached the familiar twin doors that validated my memory. *Phew*

Entering in, who I was expecting to be the old lamb secretary to appear in the lobby, was surprisingly an antsy-looking Mrs. Arilese, some tail feathers being ruffled or weirdly displaced. And when her earl-black eyes aimed at us, it was clear both sides were equally confused of what's going on.

"What are you... Hm..." She thought silently a while before answering, now seemingly a bit more enlightened than before, "You must be the new arrival on the list. Welcome to Veligear High, dearie."

With a feathered palm extended, both shook hands, both having a sense of professional background. Known for the Headmistress, weird for the husky...

"And what are you doing here, Mr. Flair? Shouldn't you be in a joint class with the professor?"

Wait... professor?

"So sorry, ma'am, there weren't any maps here, so I needed some help coming here." Amelia defended.

"Ah, I must've forgotten to send you the relevant guides and such," The raven mumbled some words (probably curses) before continuing, "Miss Evans should be able to hep you with them."

And where she pointed at, was where the husky would go, which was a lamb-occupied secretary desk near the thinly draped windows. And as she left the area, Mrs. Arilese clearly didn't register my maintained presence, when she walked down a shaded hallway, and into familiar half-transparent glass doors.

And suddenly, a hollow knock was audible from the entrance twin doors behind me, which made me turn around, and retreat backwards towards the secretary desk where friendlies were nearby.

"C-come in."

And just as the lamb had requested, a tall figure entered the tensed room. And wow, was I lucky to retreat, since my everything would've jumped like crazy.

This tall masculine figure, was a face of all-work-no-play, their bulky figure covered by a luxury tuxedo. The intimidation factor increased more when his cold, grey eyes radiated with frigidness. Although,  their brown fur, and locations of grey patches around their paws and feet, were oddly distinct...

"G-g-good morning, Mr. Zarath. The Headmistress is waiting for you inside," announced the old lamb, practically shaking from her voice alone. And with an almost non-visible nod, the intimidating figure disappeared into a corner. Their footsteps, silenced when a door closes loudly behind. When it did, it was audible enough to hear the elder lamb to sigh in obvious relief.

"Who was that, Ms. Evans?" I asked.

"Whoever just came in? Best you don't know his name, dearie." She replied, a grim undertone from it.

"Hm... " Amelia mumbled some words, pondered a while, before adjusting her navy-blue blouse, and looking back at the secretary.

"Now, over here, is your schedule, and this is..."

After a few seconds, knowing my presence wasn't needed here anymore, I decided to leave the offices, and out towards the hallways again. But just as I twisted down the door knob, I could clearly hear an erupted argument from the office, if experiences with loud table-smashing said so...
