"Wait, so... you're saying you have a freaking lab to yourself here!?"

"Y-yes, I do..."

"I need to see this myself."

"I-I-I can show you later..."

The hallways were near-fully lit- by the early afternoon sun as both me and the german shepherd were walking down the Southern Corridors that led towards the right-sided Western Block.

"Oh..." I thought about it, before answering (obviously) in a flash, "Please do! What time?"

"Uhrm..." Zain deliberated silently with time passing by longer, and longer, and longer...

By the time he had answered back, we were already reaching the linking South-West Corridor, practically the opposite from where the class we had came out originally.

"M-Maybe after lunch?" He suggested (finally).

"Hm... I probably can't. Maybe in the evening?"

"Um..." He started getting uneasy, "L-let's just.. go back..."

Noticing the change of expression and mood, I was pretty much compelled to pulling back and just keep my silence (but seriously, after all that pro-talk with Nick that day, I was pretty much dying to see Zain's lab!)

But even then, it was a freaking Friday! No way was I allowing this to ruin the day, especially a damn Friday, both for me and the shepherd. And I will admit, it was partly my fault for causing this sudden mood change I guess...

"Hey," I said, "now that I think about it, what about this afternoon?"

"R-really?" Although he didn't show it on his face, the clear excitement was practically photographed from his swinging tail.

"Yes."

To the very least, at least I made him happy again.

"Hey, Sky!"

"H-huh, Amelia? What are you doing here?"

From behind us, out suddenly appeared a sprinting husky that was audibly tired with her panting. (Where did she run from!?)

"Did you not hear the news?!" I shook my head in confusion, "Oh you can't be serious, Sky. Howler is going crazy, and you don't even have any single idea of what's going on?"

Now that she had mentioned, the hallways were filled with loud notification dings and chatters among groups around every corner. I took my phone out of my pocket, sure enough, it ran out of power (as always, I forgotten to charge the damn phone).

"You're hopeless, just... take a look at this."

I took the blue-covered phone, only to read a long article posted on the site, detailing...

"Someone... what?" I could only say that through my stunned jaws.

"Yeah, even I can't believe it. Hard to remember that I actually see him yesterday..."

I continued scrolling. Seems that a professor had died in the school, part of the economics faculty, as written on the obituary. And the school's notice was pretty much the same thing, practically copied and pasted. But the cause of death was...

"Is your name Sky Flair?"

Unexpectedly, I was interrupted by a masculine ginger cat that rushed up between the both us, nearly making me jump and tumble.

"Y-Yes, I am." I responded, fearfully backing away from him.

"The Headmistress wants to talk to you in her office. She said it's urgent," I nodded, "And you must be Amelia Rivers. The Professor wants to see you in the lab."
