The Girl On The Volleyball Team

8. Ohgi Minami vs. Karasuno

Stepping onto the court, Karasuno gives a warry eye to other team. Selene slightly eyes them while tugging up her volleyball sleeve on her right arm.

"They look like they belong in a jail house," Tanaka states.

"I wouldn't flatter yourself, Tanaka," Suga teases.

Behind them, Selene tries to hold in a laugh as Tanaka barks at Suga. Watching as their opponent finishes up practice, Yachi and Kiyoko begin to set up their practice balls. Taking position, Kayegama begins to set up for spikes. Tanaka was up first as the opposing team began to bash Karasuno. Setting the ball up, Tanaka doesn't hesitate to slam the ball down, hard, scaring the other team.

"God damn it!" He shouted, before touching the ground.

"Nice kill!" Kageyama praises.

Quickly he puts his hands together and apologizes for his out burst. The setter quickly dismissed it as it was Hinata's turn. After everyone else went, it was Selene's turn.

"Hey, Selene-san, why do you have a sleeve on?" Yamaguchi questions.

"Its so I don't dislocate my arm, it constricts it in a way," she explains, watching as the ball goes up.

"Wait- ITS THAT POWERFUL?!" He shouts, feeling the wind of Selene pass by him.

In a split second, the ball was on the other side with a crack. A triumphant smile gives the other team a chill down their spines. They had expected a girl playing volleyball on Karasuno's team, but didn't think anything of it until now.

"Nice kill!" Tanaka and Noya shouted as Selene touches the ground.

After warming up, it was time to thank the team and begin. Unfortunately, Selene wasnt in the starting line-up for this match. She stood in the player box with, Suga, Yamaguchi, and her other teammates. Though, she didn't have to worry about anything as Karasuno was completely destroying Ohgi Minami by a 10 point lead. She cheered her teammates on from the sidelines, making sure to keep up their confidence to the vary end. After getting to match point on their last set, Selene couldn't help but shake Suga from beside her.

"Their gonna do it!" She squeals.

Her friend just laughs at the excitement the female was giving off. Hinata, scoring the last point, jumps onto Kageyama with excitement. The rest of the team cheers in victory as the other looks down in defeat. Selene and others don't hesitate to take to the court to support their teammates. Running up to Hinata, Selene picks the smaller teen up from under his arms and holds him up towards their teammates.

"The child has spoke!" Selene states as everyone else shots in agreement.

Confused, Hinata hangs there like a lost kitten before being put down. Selene begins to violently rough up the gingers hair while complimenting him.

"I knew you had it in your short stack!"

"Selene-san!" He whines before she stopped with a laugh.

After doing their bows to the losing team, Karasuno headed to the stands with their team jackets on. Walking down the stairs, Selene sat down to watch which school they'd play next. Sighing, she broke out one of her nutrition bars and began to dibble on it as Suga sat next to her followed by Daichi. Hinata sat behind her, along with Tanaka and Noya who also broke out their healthy snacks.

"Hey, that one dudes really tall, I wonder what his exact height its," Hinata speaks behind them.

Squinting, Selene takes another bite of her bar before shrugging.

"Not sure, but hes absolutely destroying the other team," Tanaka adds.

Looking to Selene, Suga could tell that the female was frustrated from the aura she was giving off.

"Selene?" He questions.

Grumbling, the female finishes off her food before crossing her arms. Amused, they watched her zip up her track jacket all the way up her collar so that it hid the lower half of her face. Daichi slightly pats the females head in comfort.

"Are you jealous of that players height?" Daichi questions.

"N-no..." She replies with hesitation.

"Look!" Noya exclaimed.

Looking down at the teams, they finally found out who their second match was going to be.

"Kadokawa high," Asahi speaks up beside Daichi.

"So," Selene zips down her collar, revealing a menacing smile.

Suga, Daichi, Hinata, Tanaka, and Noya lean away from the female as she slowly leans forward.

"We'll actually get to play against that tall fellow. Bring it on, nunber 9," Selene coo's.

"She really is scary..." The 5 of them say.
