《1st POV》

It's Sunday now, and I'm once again left alone in my own household. Instead of thinking about Bakugou's words repeatedly or the mysterious 1-C student, I suddenly remembered that I came back for a reason:

To find any information about the villain who killed Mom.

I arrived at the public library to research the incident 3-5 years ago on the internet. There, I found some titles correlating to the exact incident, but some were blocked. The ones that weren't gave the info I already knew.

Sighing, I wrote down the common title to the incident and went on doing further research. I asked the librarians, and one took me down aisles of tall dark shelves.

They seemed old and abandoned. "These are where more further reports are usually placed from previous people who've done them. If it's a research paper you're working on, you'll dig deep enough to earn that 100. What were you looking for again, miss?" The lady asked.

"'Unknown Monster Villain Massacres Millions and Gets Away'," I read, showing her my notebook with notes. "The websites were blocked, so I thought it may be interesting for my school report," I lied.

"Ah y-yes, I see.." she nervously smiled. "Such a touchy subject for the pro heroes, don't ya think? So many innocent people died. It's kinda odd that everyone seemed to forget about it. The villain hasn't showed up since. And who knows if the heroes are still planning to catch it."

I blinked. So she does know..."Well, if you've known about that..have you heard about the h-house fire turning into solid ice?"

She blinked a couple of times silently, never hearing of it. "Like a house in Musutafu went up in flames but an ice quirk overcame the fire. It created a huge ice barrier around the home."

She scrunched her eyebrows almost like she was upset but tried to hide it. "All my 10 years I've lived here, I-I've never heard anything of it," she told me, "maybe it wasn't sensational enough to be broadcasted. It must have been some type of minor incident. W-Why do you ask?"

"O-Oh, me?" I asked suddenly so nervously. "W-Well, I'm just curious of..everything that comes on the news. I've just heard of it, so I don't know if it's real or not. I want to be part of the media as a career..."

"Ah, I see. That's pretty interesting, but the research's up to you," she nodded like she wanted out of the conversation so suddenly. "You can roam around in this historic area to find all types of cases. Good luck."

After thanking her, I began my search. Not sensational enough? I swear I remembered a slight glimpse of the overcrowded media and firefighters.

Not only were there endless books, many small boxes possibly contained film and such. Searching by recent date, I go through every incident. After an hour or so, my brain couldn't take up any more reading so I took a break.

I went back to digging through every box right after. I felt slowly discouraged, but if I had stopped looking, I wouldn't have crossed a box with a newspaper with a headline, 'Monster in Musutafu Kills Millions and Escapes. What Happened, Pro Heroes?'

After searching a few more boxes, I don't find anything but a report called, 'Unclear Incident: House Fire? More like a House Crystalized.'

Sitting down, I carefully read through the newspapers. They were definitely a long gap of years, so that meant both incidents were real. Mom died when I was very young, and it was a few years later when Father and I had gone psycho...
