Part 12

Sujata: Thank God Swara is safe!

Ram: You are right but what will we say to Shekhar and Shamishta? They are coming to our house in two days remember?

They all gasp in realisation. How could they forget?

Sujata: Oh no! What will we say to them?! (She asked with a worried expression)

Ragini: The truth(Ragini said wiping her tears while they all looked at her like she is crazy) Yes the truth. We will have to tell them what happened. They have the right to know.

Sujata: Are you crazy? Do you know what will happen if they find out?

Annapurna: But Sujata maybe they can take care of Swara and help her in this situation better than we could.

Sujata: But...

Parineeta: Chachi ji we can't keep this a secret from her parents. What if they want to take a decision regarding this situation.

Uttara: Bhabhi is right Mom.

Sujata: Ok fine.

The nurse came outside.

Nurse: You can see her now.

The nurse leaves after telling them and they enter inside. Swara was conscious but she was lying down lifeless. They saw her and first Ragini went towards her. Ragini sat on the chair beside the hospital bed and held her hand.

Ragini: How are you? (she asked being concerned but Swara didn't answer)

Ragini looks at the rest of the family and then Uttara comes with a box of chocolates.

Uttara: Bhabhi look I got your favourite chocolates! Don't you want to eat them?

Swara looks at the box of chocolates and then remembers Sanskar's proposal where he said that they would celebrate every happiness with a chocolate and it brings tears in her eyes.

Swara: (looks at Ragini) I want to meet him.

Ragini knew she was talking about Sanskar and she had all the rights to meet him as she needed answers as to why he did this.

Ragini: Ok but not now. You need to rest for now.

Swara nods and they all leave but Ragini stays there so she has some support as all of them weren't allowed to stay.

1 week later:

Swara came back home and stayed in guest room. But she needed to talk to Sanskar because she had a million question she needed answers to. She sees Sanskar pass by so she walked up to him. He saw and noticed she was standing so weakly. He felt bad to see her in this state and because of him she was like this. 

Sanskar: Are you ok?

Swara: (thinks maybe he still loves her and cares for her) I am fine. Sanskar I need to talk to you do have some time?

Sanskar:(knows what she is going to talk about) Yes.

Swara: I saw you that day with a girl but I am not going to believe my eyes. I know that you can never do this to me. We love each other and I trust you completely but they don't so just clear up all the misunderstandings. I will explain all that happened and I'm sure she is one of your friends or employees.

Sanskar:(looks at her and sees pain in her eyes but remembers something) Swara. You need to start trusting your eyes. She is not my employee but my girlfriend Kiara. I love her and I want to marry her.

Swara looks at him with horrified eyes which were filled with pain and disbelief.

Swara: No.. That can't be true! You love me and I love you! We are married! I get that you were mad at me that I left you for 6 months but you forgave me right?! (she was saying this with tears in her eyes which were about to fall down)

Sanskar: Forgive you?! No I never forgave you! I just pretended to forgive you and love you again so I could break you down even more! (he shouts this and it was heard by the family and they came to where they were)

Sujata: What is going on here?

Swara: (goes to Sujata and old her hands) Mom please tell me he is lying he loves me right? He is saying that he wanted revenge from me?!!

Sujata just stands there shocked but comes into her senses and goes towards Sanskar and slaps him with so much force that he falls on to the floor.

Sujata: How could you?!! Is this what we taught you?!! I must have done some sin to get a son like you!

Sanskar was in tears after listening to his mom. He never in his wildest dreams thought that she would say that to him. Sujata too was in tears but she felt that what she did was right. She thought that if she told him off the first day then this day would never come. But now it was too late.

Swara: Mom!!(she covered her mouth due to shock) Mom what did you do see he is bleeding.

Swara goes to Sanskar but he shrugs her off. 

Sujata: See. See how much she cares for you! She still trusts you and how did you repay that trust?!! By breaking it?!!

Ram: Sanskar I am feeling ashamed but not on you. On ourselves that we couldn't teach you how to respect people. If we corrected your mistakes back then, this day wouldn't have come(he lowered his head due to shame)

Durga Prasad: Ram don't lower your head. It is not your fault then why are you ashamed? You only loved him but he didn't respect that love. You tried your best but he didn't learn.

Ram: No bhai sa it is if I taught him well then he wouldn't have done this to Swara. He had an affair while being married!

Annapurna: Don't put shame on yourself it isn't your fault. But Sanskar's. (turns to Sanskar) I never expected this from you Sanskar! We always thought you were the our loving and caring son. We even forgave you when you tried to take revenge because of Kavita. But now no matter how much you repent and ask for forgiveness we will never forgive you! (Annapurna said this to Sanskar in a loud voice which made everyone gasp because she never raises her voice no matter what)

Swara: Badi Maa it's fine he is just playing some prank on me right? Right Sanskar? You are playing some prank on me? 

Sanskar: No this is no prank! In fact this is your punishment! Remember what I told you before Laksh came back. That you will have a punishment for leaving me and you agreed to that. So I made this whole plan to be in love with you and accept you back!

Swara felt that the whole ground beneath was gone. She couldn't feel her feet and sat on the floor with a thud. Her tears that were stuck in her eyes and finally come out but now they weren't stopping. Part of her thought this was just some nightmare and if it wasn't then it was worse than a nightmare. She felt her whole world collapsed, the memories she had with him were flashing back into her head from the time they proposed to each other till him saying that he doesn't love her.
