Swasan Always and Forever

Part 13

Swara felt that the whole ground beneath was gone. She couldn't feel her feet and sat on the floor with a thud. Her tears that were stuck in her eyes had finally come out but now they weren't stopping. Part of her thought this was just some nightmare and if it wasn't then it was worse than a nightmare. She felt her whole world collapsed, the memories she had with him were flashing back into her head from the time they proposed to each other till him saying that he doesn't love her. Ragini ran to Swara. She had never seen Swara so broken, Swara had always been the strongest person in the family always trying to keep everyone together but now she had been torn to pieces. Sanskar saw all this and left without saying a word more. Swara still couldn't believe what happened. She thought all their misunderstandings were cleared but the past isn't always forgotten.

The next day

It was 7 am but Swara was still in her room which was the guest room. She wasn't sleeping but was awake with red swollen eyes due to excess crying. She was sitting on the floor hugging her knees and remembering what happened. Just then Ragini, Uttara and Parineeta came in but she didn't notice.

Ragini:(trying to be normal after what happened) Swara what is this? It's 7 am and you're still here?

Uttara: Yes bhabhi. We all had breakfast except you. It's your favourite today!

Parineeta: Exactly! Here you go (She held a morsel in her hand but Swara gently pushed it back)

Swara: No thanks bhabhi I'm not hungry.

Ragini: But you haven't eaten anything since yesterday and you need to have your medicines as well.

Swara: Medicines really?! If you have a medicine which will cure my pain then give it to me. I'll gladly take it! (she chuckles sadly)

Ragini: Swara whatever happened was not your fault.

Swara: Ragini I want to be alone please leave me. (Swara said with no emotion) 

Ragini: But...

Uttara and Parineeta nod no to Ragini and take her out of the room. 

A few hours later

Swara comes out of her room and goes to the dining table as everyone was there. Sujata gets happy seeing her and goes to her.

Sujata: It's good that you came! Come I made your favourite dish! 

But Swara gently pushes her hand away and Sujata loses her smile. Swara fake smiles.

Swara: Mom can I please go home to Ma and Baba. Please.

Sujata sees her and it is clearly shown that she is still in pain so she doesn't force her to stay and nods yes.

Swara: Thank you!

Sujata: But come eat first you haven't had anything.

Swara: Sorry but I'm not hungry.

Sujata: But your health will deteriorate if you don't.

Swara: Mom...

But before she could say further Sujata gave an angry glare and pulled her towards the table, made her sit down and filled her plate with so much food.She knew it wasn't right to force her especially now but she was left with no choice.

Swara: Mom this is too much I won't be able to eat this much.

Sujata: I will not hear a word, look how thin you have become!  I will feed you with my hands open up!

Sujata holds a morsel in her hand waiting for her to open her mouth.

Sujata: I will not wait all day here! 

Swara unwillingly opens her mouth and eats it.

Sujata: Good!

After they were done eating Swara packed her bags and left to her parent's house. Laksh and Ragini also came to drop her.

Ragini: Swara be safe and take care of yourself.

Swara nods and gives a faint smile to her then hugs her and goes inside. Shekhar and Sharmishta see her and get confused as to why she is here suddenly. Swara sees them and she can't control her pain anymore so she drops the bags and runs to the and hug them tightly letting out all the sadness she had been holding inside her.

Sharmishta: Shona?! What happened why are you crying?!

Sharmishta managed to say after breaking the hug. She took her to the sofa and sat her down giving a glass of water to her to calm her down. Swara told them all that happened and Shekhar was fuming in anger.

Shekhar: How dare he?!! (he shouted loudly)

Sharmishta: Shekhar calm down think about Swara!

Shekhar: I'm sorry beta but why didn't you tell us all this!?

Swara: I didn't know how to! He only told me yesterday I was not in the state to react.

Sharmishta:(cupping her face and wipes her tears) Don't cry now! I will not let you fall weak you have to stand up for yourself and fight! I have taught my Swara to be strong this isn't my Swara who will fall weak and cry because of someone! 

Swara nods and wipes her tears. Sharmishta and Shekhar hug her and she hugs them back.

Swara: You are right Ma I will fight and be strong. I won't fall weak. I will fight for Sanskar! I may have made a mistake but I will rectify it. (she stands up with a determined face) 

Shekhar: Good! That's more like my daughter! (he goes to her and hugs her)

Swara: Ma, Baba I'm really tired I'll go to my room.

Sharmishta: Okay take rest but if you need anything we are here.

Swara: Thank you!

She goes to her room and sees the picture of her and Sanskar's wedding and picks it up and caresses it.

Swara: I will win you back it's my promise.
