15- Kihyun

"Kihyun-ah" a familiar voice gently said, waking me. It was Hoseok. I quickly opened my eyes and sat up.

"Where have you been? Do you have any idea how worried I was? I do not sleep on this couch cause I want to! This thing hurts!" I yelled pointing at the couch.

"Kihyun-ah, I'm sorry I didn't say anything. I was really hurt when I left. I wasn't exactly thinking clearly. When I got to the car I sat there crying for half an hour until Hyejin texted me. Here. I'll show you the messages." Hoseok checked each pocket finding it in his coat. He tapped on the phone and then handed it to me. I looked at him. Trying to figure out how he was able to go from deeply upset to... happy? I left my thoughts alone and read the messages.

Hey, are you okay?
Do you want to

Oh gosh, I forgot.
Sorry. I'm not having
the best time right
now.

Do you want to talk
about it? Hyunwoo
isn't here if you want
to come over. I may not
be your most trusted
friend, but I will be if
you let me. I'll be honest,
I haven't agreed to go
on a date with anyone
for years. I agreed to
go with you because of
what I have heard about
you from Minhyuk. All
of what he said was that
you are an extremely
caring person who
protects others before
himself and wants the
best for everyone, yet
doesn't put much effort
in protecting himself.
Now Min may be out
there at times, but he
doesn't lie. What I want
to say is that, although
you may not know me
very well yet, I like you
and I want to at least be
the person you come to
when you feel alone.

I don't know what to
say. And not in a bad
way! I was just so
focused on one person
for so long I didn't notice
that anyone could like me.
Thank you. I would come
over, but I look like a
complete mess right now.
I would rather you not
see me like this when
we were supposed to have
our first date.

Hyunwoo is having
people over next Friday.
