"Any desert?" Thomas asks with a smirk on his face. I know exactly what he means. I drop my serving spoon and nod, cupping his head in my hands before pulling him in for a big kiss. I hear a couple of groans from the Gladers as he walks past me.

"That's disgusting!" Gally says. I roll my eyes and look down at the pot that is almost empty.

"Hold on Gally, I have to get some more food." He groaned and rolled his eyes before motioning for me to go. I pick up the pot and brink it to the kitchen, putting more food in it.

The pot was like, 10 times more heavy than before! Apparently I wasn't watching where I was going, and I tripped over a root in the ground. The pot went flying from my hands and guess where the food landed. Right. On. Gally. I saw his face slowly get red with anger.

"Come here greenie!" He screamed. I tried to crawl away as he grabbed me by the back of my shirt, pulling me up. His arm raised as he punched me in the face, causing my nose to bleed. I tried to throw some punches at him, but I was a little dazed from his punch.

"Gally!" His head turned. It was Thomas's voice. "I swear if you touch her again I will break your shucking neck!" Gally grunted and dropped me to the ground. I winced at the pain from the fall. All of a sudden, Thomas came and picked me up bridal style, carrying me toward the Homestead. He set me down on a bed and immediately grabbed some supplies.

"Are you alright Sofia?" He asked, putting a wet cloth on my head, wiping away the blood.

"I'm fine." He nodded and pursed his lips, as if contemplating what to say next.

"Good." He hesitated before continuing. "I don't know what I would do without you! If you ever got hurt or worse, I would never forgive myself! I just love you so shucking much!" I sat up and kissed his neck, resting my chin on his shoulder.

"I love you too shank!" He chuckled a little before leaning over and kissing me. Needless to say, I was feeling a whole lot better!
