Newt Imagine (Hope)

"Hey love!" Newt says coming up behind me and kissing the top of my head. I let out a small laugh.

"Hey!" I turned and kissed him on the lips and he leaned in smiling.

"I'm going to be pretty bloody busy today Hope. I might have to call off our date tonight." I let out a groan. This happens a lot. It isn't even really dat, so I guess I shouldn't be upset. We just eat in the dead heads together.

"Fine." I said turning away. He sighed and pulled me up for a hug, kissing the top of my head.

"I really am sorry." I sighed and dug my face into his chest. "I love you."

"I love you too." I said into his shirt. He smelled good, like an odd mixture of sweat and flowers. We pulled away and he gave me one last kiss before running towards Alby.

"Sorry about that." I looked over to see Gally walking towards me. He was shaking his head. "He shouldn't keep blowing you off like that." He put his hand on my shoulder and it made me uncomfortable, so I pushed it off.

"He has his reasons." I say, starting to walk away.

"Still." He paused before continuing. "You're to good for him. He doesn't deserve you." I stared at the ground, thinking about the words coming out of his mouth. "If he promised you something, he should keep it!" He rubbed his bottom lip with the back of his hand. I turned and walked away, eyes burning, in the verge of tears.

(During the time they were supposed to have a date)

I was eating in the dead heads...alone. It was a little depressing, but Newt was busy and I had nothing better to do. All of a sudden, I saw a figure walking towards me. As it got closer, I realized it was Gally. I rolled my eyes as he sat next to me.

"I'm sorry about Newt." He scooted a little closer to me.

"It's fine." I knew Gally meant well.

"Can I eat with you?" I was a little shocked to hear this, but I nodded as he pulled out a sandwich. We sat in silence for a few moments.

"Thank you, for sitting with me." He smiled at me. He pulled his hands up to my face and, before I could react, pulled my lips to his. He held my head there as I tried to push away.

"Stop it!" I hear Newt say. "What the bloody hell do you think you're doing shank?!" Newt yelled at Gally. Then he turned to me. "And what do you think you're doing?!" I tried to speak but he stopped me. "I knew you were upset about me working, but this!" He rubbed his head with his hands and turned to walk away. I gave Gally a glare before I ran after Newt.

"Newt! Stop!" He stopped, not bothering to turn around. "It's not what you think! He kissed me! I tried to pull away! I love you Newt!" He turned his head slightly before saying anything. I felt tears start to roll down my face.

"And I loved you." I felt to my knees and started crying as he walked away from me.

(The next day)

I barged into Newt's room, not bothering to knock and found him sitting on his bed. His eyes were red and puffy, like he'd been crying. He tried to say something but I stopped him.

"I don't care what you think happened!" I screamed. "I love you! I would never betray you like that! If there is one thing I know-" I was interrupted by Newt's lips, which were now connected with mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he put his hands on my hips. After a few moments, we pulled away.

"I love you too!" We smiled at each other before pulling in for one last kiss before we walked hand in hand back to the glade.
