Technically it's both their house, just to lighten things up. In conclusion of everything I still feel numb, Rider cheated on me, and I'm about to be mated to Jason. I blush when I think about that. In all reality I just handed my life to Jason, my virginity, and my last name. So I'm screwed either way, but it feels nice to finally have a partner.
Laying my head on the windowsill I think of what I'll say, what his reaction will be, and most of all who'll be in his bed. My mind stops wandering when Jason starts to nervously tap his fingers against the wheel. Of course I don't stop him because anyone would be nervous to go to his asshole brothers house. When we get there I have to breathe before I open the door. Even then I'm still nervous, but I have to know something first.
"Jason? What it's Rider's full name?" I ask him leaning against the car.
"Rider Logan Cross." He says grabbing my hand and giving it a reassuring squeeze.
Nodding in response I head inside. The living room isn't messed with except for a few candles, wine glasses, and a empty bottle of wine. Looks like someone had a romantic night while I was writhing in pain. I think smirking as I head towards the bedroom. There in his bed is him and a girl I don't know naked and splayed across the covers. Growling erupts behind me when Jason walks in causing both Rider and his mistress to wake up.
"Can I talk to you for a second, Rider?" I ask him while he fumbles for his jeans.
In the meantime I wait in the hallway for him sending Jason into his room. Rider walks out looking nervous and slightly guilty. Consistently scratching the back of his neck.
"Look Jem I couldn't wait any longer. Alphas have control issues and you weren't willing." He says without thinking and quickly realizes what he said.
"Rider I'm going to say this before everything gets bad between us. I used to love you." I say his face contorts in pain.
"Before you say what?" He says clenching his hands.
Gulping I take a deep breathe and think about what Rider has done to me. I went through hell because of him.
"I Jem Christine Rose, reject you Rider Logan Cross as my mate." I say closing my eyes tightly.
There's a silence and than I hear a thud. Opening my eyes I look down and see a very dead Rider. The past alpha of Luna cross. His once beautiful self gone all because of those stupid words. Realizing what I've done I scream at the top of my lungs in horror. Jason runs to me and brings the now clothed girl. Her face contorts in hatred.
Looking at me I see her form ripple followed by cat ears and tail.
"I'll kill you!!! You killed my mate you bitch." She says shoving Jason into the wall.
Her fist connects with my face she I'm out like a light. Wait her mate?!
