The next day I had school. I wasn't looking forward to it, it's not like I don't like school, I'm just afraid of meeting new people. I woke up and got ready for the day. I put my metallica t shirt on and jeggings then I put on my converses. Then I went downstairs to see if my mom and dad were awake. Sure enough my mom was already cooking breakfast.

"Good morning sunshine. "My mom said.

"Good morning, what are you making?"

"Eggs, bacon, toast, and I got fruit. "My mom showed me. I was impressed. My mom hasn't cooked a good dinner since my brother died.

"It looks good."

"Why thank you." She said smiling

"Where is dad?"

"Finding a job." My mom handed me my food and I started to eat it.

"He's finding a job already?"

"Yep." She said popping the p sound.

"I thought he would wait a couple days, you know till we get settled."

"He wanted to get to it now so we will have money when we needed it."

"Okay, are you going to take me to school? "I asked when I was done with my food.

"Yeah, I want to make sure you get your schedule and know your classes."

"Then we better get going."

"Lets go then." My mom grabbed her keys and we left. I was really nervous. I haven't been to a new school before. That's all I could think when we drive up to me new school.

"Mom, you're not going to make me go out there are you?"

"Yes I am, you're going to have to face your fears sometime, why not start now."

"Because this is high school people can be really mean in high school." I said looking out the window. There are people scattered around the school talking to one another. I guess that means the bell hasn't rung yet.

"I'm going to look stupid walking in with my mom."

"I don't care what those kids think we are going to get out of this car, go in the school and get you learning so you can do to college and that's that." She said getting out of the car and waving to some of the kids staring at us. I slammed my head on the dash board and got out of the car.

"There happy they are staring at us, can we go back home now?"

"Sofia, I am not going to let your college application be in jeopardy because you didn't want to be in school." So we started walking to the school. When we were at the doors I saw Alex leaning on a tree looking at me, creepy much?  I thought because I would never say that out loud, I'm not that kind of person. We walked up to the front desk and there was a woman sitting and typing something on the computer.  When she noticed us she stopped typing and greeted us with a cheerful smile.

"Can I help you ladys?" She asked and I noticed she has a British accent.

"Yeah, I think I talked to you yesterday about Sofia coming here."

"Oh yes I remember now." She looked though her desk and found a piece of paper.

"Ah there it is, here you go this is her schedule."

"Thank you." My mom smiled at her and we began to walk down the school hallway. Then the bell rung.

"Mom what are you still doing here I think I can find my classes."

"I want to talk to your teachers."

"You can do that at parent teacher conference. "To late people were already flooding down the hallway to go to there classes. I'm doomed.
