Before we got on the farris wheel my phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Where are you?" My mom asked.

"At the pier."

"You could have at least left a note, I was worried." She sighed in releif.

"Sorry, I thought we would be home in time."

"It's okay stay out as long as you want, it's Saturday. "She said

"Thankyou mom, bye."

"Your welcome, bye sweetie." She blew a kiss into the phone and I hung up. I noticed that we were next. I'm going to be stuck in a farris wheel cart with Alex. Jeez.

"You're up sweetheart. "The worker said. I would have snapped at him and say I'm not your sweetheart, but then I saw that he was probably 80 years old, so I kept that comment to myself and I just smiled. Alex and I got in the cart and I was just waiting for the ride to be over.

"So, who was on the phone earlier? "Alex said after two minutes of going in a circle on the farris wheel.

"Why do you want to know?" I asked lifting one of my eyebrows.

"I'm just makin a conversation with you."

"I don't like hights."

"You don't? "He asked.

"I've always been afraid of hights so yeah, I don't."

"Well, don't look down." Grrr. Thats not helpful.

"Oh, thankyou for your words of wisdom, my life is complete."

"Hey!"

"Well." When does this ride end? We got to the top, but as soon as we got there, I heard a pop sound and I mentally cried inside when I heard it.

"Sorry folks we are having some technical difficulties, so if you will hang tight we will try and get you down." The old man said. My phone rang. Livi screamed in my ear as soon as I said hello.

"Are you okay!Do you need a blanket!

Paco! Go get a whole bunch of food and blankets!" I think Livi lost her mind.

"Livi its only been 20 seconds. I'm fine. Stop freaking out." I said between giggles. Alex grabbed the phone and said

"I'm okay to, thanks for asking."

"Give me back my phone." I took my phone from him and told Livi I had to go, but I still heard her voice after we hung up. Apparently the workers wernt working fast enough so Livi decided to work on the farris wheel herself. Paco and the workers had to pry her off so they could finish. Oh Livi what am I going to do with you.

"So.."Alex said trying to break the silence. I put my earbuds in and listened to I Will Not Bow by Breaking Benjamin. I closed my eyes and lip synced to it.
