Gem Glow

"Awe, come one champ, you'll find something else you like! What about donuts?" You try to cheer up the boy, while the two of you walked down the beach towards your home.

"But they're Cookie Cats! Nothing is as good as Cookie Cats!" Steven frowend, as he walked up the wooden stairs, that lead to the wooden house on a little hill in front of a giant statue carved into a mountain behind it.

You walked up to the door, turned your back towards it now facing Steven and pushed it opened with your hip. "We can try and find them somwhere else if you want to-" you turned around just to be faced by a giant, green, centipeed like looking monster, who had green acid coming out of it's mouth.

"WHAAAA?!" You screamed and summoned your sword out of the gem on your neck. Ready to attack the monster, a dark purple and black whip wrapped around it and pulled it away from you.

"Wassup." A small, purple gem said, as she poofed the monster. She had white long hair, flowing down her back. It was Amethyst.

You and Steven looked around the room as you noticed that the rest of the gems were fighting creatures as well.

You joined in and sliced a monster, that Garnet was holding in her hands, in half with your sword. "Nice." She commented as you smiled. The four of you kept on poofing the monsters, as Steven sat down the Cookie Cat freezer he got from the Big Donut on the couch next to the window.

"Awesome! What are these things?" The boy cheered as he looked around.

You raised an eyebrow as you stabbed anothe monster, confused about how Steven could like thinga like these.

"Oh, sorry you two. We'll get these things out of your rooms. We think they're trying to get into the tempel."
Pearl explained, as she grabbed a centipeed.

"Awh, you don't have to get rid of them!They're really cool!" Steven said, as the Centipeed pearl held spit acid onto the floor, melting the wood completely on that spot.

"Uh, guys? These things don't have gems!" Amethyst explained as she poofed another one.

"Where do they come from?" You asked, as you let your weapon disappear

"There must be a mother nearby." Garnet told as she punched another monster. "Impressive" You commented, as you gave a thumbs up. Garnet smirked at this.

"Well, we should go and find it then." Pearl said, still holding the centipeed in her arm.

"Mind if I stay here? I wanna play the new videogame I got." You asked, as you went up the stair to Stevens room, then took another pair of stairs that led to yours. Your room was above Stevens. (Other than in the series, in this book the house is bigger and your room is above Stevens, accessable by another pair of stairs.) You live in an attic with a lot of windows. It kinda looks like Lar's room. You visited him once to play games. Your room had a giant window wall. All of them could be opened. On one of them was a ladder, which led onto the roof.

You loved sitting on the roof. You grabbed your favorite videogame and went downstairs into Steven's room again, since he had the game cube you both shared. You put the disc into the disc slot and turned on the TV. You heard Steven panicing in the kitchen, but trusted the gems to take care ot it. Soon, all of them left the house.

Hmm, maybe they are taking Steven with  them after all. His puppy eyes are indeed very convincing.

You thought, as you started playing the game. About 20 minutes passed, when all of them came back. They went into the kitchen and tried recreating something. You thought it might be funny, so you sat down on the floor in front of the TV, you feet tumbeling off of the edge of the story. They were tumbeling above the couch. At one point, Steven got sad.
