So this trope is often seen when it usually has the main character and her bff are dating some upper class guys. Like I understand from the story is told from the main characters pov. But it always make it seem like the bff always has to have second best. Like the second tallest guy. Or second richest guy. Or even the second handsome guy. Like why is that. It would be nice to have a switch and have the bff get the number one guy.
