I woke up the next morning with out realizing I had ever really fell asleep but I was in my Jammie's and under my blankets.
Joey. Joey is such a good brother, I really wish he didn't have it as rough with our parents
I walked into his room and found empty sheets. Downstairs it was empty as well.
"Joooooey" I yelled, and it echoed through the house. No notes on the fridge, no texts, I ran to the table where I had left my keys last night... no keys. I dialed his number on my phone. And it went straight to voicemail.
"Could he be with Jc?"
I dialed up Jc with shaky hands.
"Hello?"
"Hey Jc it's maggie, have you seen Joey today?"
"No why?" I could hear the slight worry in his voice, if I could hear it from him, I wonder what I sounded like?
"He disappeared this morning and his phone isn't on, and you're the only person we've met here so far. Sorry to bother you. It's probably nothing, but I just wanted to check, sorry." I stuttered
"No, no you have a right to be worried, do you want me to come over and wait for him to get home?" He asked with concern.
"Yes, yes please!" I said a little too enthusiastically.
"Alright, what's you're address?" He asked.
"16080 Green Valley Drive" I answered
"Okay, I know where that is, I'll be over in ten", he reassured me.
"Okay bye"
"Bye"

I hung up the phone and sighed. At least now I won't be totally on edge until Joey gets home.
Fifteen minutes later the doorbell rang. I rushed to answer it. I swung the door open and found Jc, standing hunched over with his hands In his pockets, wearing a very obviously forced smile.
"Hi" I said awkwardly
"Hey"
"Come in..." my voice trailed off as I realized how nice he looked and I was still in my panda pajamas. I looked down.
"Shit" I muttered as I shit the door behind him.
He spun around, "what's the matter" he asked me.
I flashed a look at my pajamas, and he smiled, stifling a laugh.
"Don't you laugh at me Jc, I know what I look like, you don't have to remind me." I retorted slightly angry
"Why shouldn't I remind you? don't you like the way you look?"
"I don't have to answer that" I said without emotion.
"Because I like the way you look Maggie" he whispered at his feet.
I cleared my throat, not sure how to respond to the half way compliment.
"Are you hungry?" I asked
"Um, yes a small bit." He responded
"Well, Jc I know how to make four things, of which you may have you're choice" I said with a British accent.
Jc giggled as I continued. "I can make toast, cereal, popcorn and Macoroni and cheese...
"How about grilled cheese." He answered.
"Alright, here's the remote and I'll get to it. I said.
He tosses the remote on the couch and followed me to the kitchen where he sat on the counter and watched me work. I grabbed my frying pan out of the pantry and set it on the stove-top. "Two grilled cheeses coming up!"
